We could have had a quality starting goalie, a new coach, a BETTER GM and 2 big tough top pairing defensemen but no 1 bad defenseman and just what we needed more forwards. In order for this team to improve is to fire the ENTIRE front office
Hey Zack – sorry I missed your 1st watch along, caught the highlites, good idea. Not as bad as the Isles game, intensity was there – just not sustained. Got ripped-off a bit by the Refs in the 3rd.
Where were Matthews and Marner in a huge playoff-type game – Mackinnon showed them what a true pro is.
That was a playoff style game and exact preview of what’s to come with the current make up of this roster. Keefe tactically embarrassed being up 3-0 and our big guys, in particular Marner turtling and crumbling under pressure. The guy had more mistakes and passes to the avs players than he did his own linemates

The Avs' forward group are so banged up they dressed 8 defenders tonight. They are pretty much an one line team right now and the Leafs couldn't even stop that, pathetic.

Zack, I can't believe it actually happened. I watched the first period with you guys and the Leafs played some of their best hockey. Right when I left to go watch my Bruins, it went down hill. I'll take the blame on that one.
