@Flyers de Philadelphie

Je me demande à quoi il pense 🤔

l’une de ces choses n’est pas comme l’autre – Jamie Drysdale, probablement

    This gives off super strong *a week after a breakup* vibes for some reason.

    He’s probably thinking that he 100% gets NHL money his entire ELC, zero chance of getting bumped down to the AHL since the ducks are so bad, gets zero pressure to compete on a shit team and gets to pull a bottom feeding team through the ringer on his next contract. Dubois 2.0.

    Tbh the Ducks are this bad because all of their top players are 19-21. Each of which have been injured at different times. When they did all play together, they started out pretty on fire.

    McTavish, Carlsson, Zegras, Minty, Zellweger, lundestrom, Lyubushkin, Lacombe, Dostal (just broke the Ducks save record in a game against Toronto and was player of the month in Oct), Vaak and several other teens expected to be high end talent currently in the AHL. 3 Defenseman who won the Defensive player of the year in the respective league for the 1st time in history.

    Drysdale is a hole to fill but with another top 3-5 pick, that will be their target. BTW his only issue is that he’s injury prone. I’ve watched him play a lot and he’s on another level…when he’s playing. The people saying he hasn’t been good are just flat out wrong. Idk where the heck that is coming from tbh. He’s been elite while playing on a squad that has been bottom of the league for a few years.

    They’re number 1 on future watch for a reason. Lol As dirty as his actions were, he’s joining what may be the most stacked team in the NHL once they develop, if the Ducks can find a way to keep everyone on contract.

    Right now their roster is filled with older fill ins until the full squad is ready for the NHL together. Such as Gudas (love the guy), Silfverberg, Killorn, Vatrano, Henrique, Fowler etc. These guys won’t be here when their young guys are fully developed.

    Philly of course is top 10 in future watch as well so both squads are primed for a successful future. Idc what anyone says, this trade was not lopsided. Drysdale is a beast. The only reason it may have worked out better for the Ducks is because they had too many Defenseman as it is. Everyone knew Minty would be good but I don’t think anyone expected him to be this good. Making their over abundance of Defenseman even more clear. They were in need of a goal scorer which is what they are hoping Cutter will be.

    With this addition, they are essentially complete and with another top 3 pick which isn’t even needed, it will just push them to be on another level of ridiculous potential. I know Philly fans don’t want to hear that but tbh, the Ducks gave Philly an insane return, in return for a guy that for whatever reason wanted nothing to do with them. I still don’t get it, I’m a Ducks fan and if I was an NHL star, the first place I’d choose to play would be the Flyers.

    There are teams out there that could have used Cutters decision to get a heavily weighted deal but the Ducks gave up a superstar to compensate for it. Even though it wasnt known, they arent stupid. Flyers once saying hes the only untradable guy to suddenly dealing him is indication something is up.

    Really a win win for 2 squads with a great future.

    TLDR – Ducks are primed for success. Dynasty potential on paper once they’re developed. Flyers are also primed for major success. Don’t be upset, this trade was equal. Drysdale is an elite defender and he’s only 21.

    “I’m glad I don’t have to play for the team I grew up hating. Also the temptation to blow Sid is easier to manage sinc I’m 3000 miles away.”
