Please NO to Perry. He's the most likely signing that would sabotage this team's success. What's wrong with keeping a winning team? Why would you want to get rid of Foegle who has finally been playing great? The team should just wait until the trade deadline, and add a player or two (goalie, RW). Don't make changes to a winning team. Do you really want to change them into a losing team?

Yea it was cool, but ties. Thats why they never did it before. So i say the equivalent would be like 12 or 13 games.

You know Ken won’t make a change unless there’s injury or exceptional offer! The NHL is so competitive and everyone is looking for basically the same things? Of course there’s a couple of dead weight contracts that mess things up for trades, if Kane is healthy we will need that big body as size makes a difference in the playoffs! I guy I would go for is Claude Giroux in Ottawa even if just a rental, experience and competitive with scoring ability given the chance for a cup run he might do it? Another D man is almost a must based on the lack of experience and a Broberg trade is almost a given?
They should pursue Jason Dickinson from the Blackhawks…oilers won’t get rid of Foegele
even tho Perry would be great asset he wont come to Edmonton he doesn't want to come to a Canadian team so i could see Monahan for sure and Kane to show his skill your right needs to be in top six not below he cant connect down there with bottom lines.

Kane is playing careful and looks afraid to get hurt. Obviously not 100%. Better to rest him and get someone healthy in. Need Kane at his best.
Campbell, Ceci and Holloway would work as a great trade and make room for extra much needed cash.
Holloway could get injured again and this is why he would be a good trade bait.
Kane will be fine, you don't get rid of a guy like that if you're a playoff team. Nobody wants to play the tough game against him or Nurse.

Its been noted that Perry doesn't wanna play for a Team in the West, so mark him Off. Id like to see Monahan or Anderson from Habs suit up for Oilers.

Oilers haven't been in any position to sit Kane for injury recovery if he his good enough to play. With the All Star break coming and the Oilers getting a firm grasp on a playoff spot that should change. When Kane is healthy his offence, and just as important his grit, will be needed in the playoffs.
I hope they don’t trade Kane. They’ll need his grit come playoff time.
Honestly I don't think Kane's cap is bad. For 5 mill you get a 60 point player and is physical . Both Bertuzi and Coleman get paid more (play with similar styles) and don't put up the same numbers as Kane. Oilers just hit to absolute home runs with RNH and Hyman contracts so it makes Kane's look bad.
This is a stupid idea so oilers will probably trade Kane.

Oilers need a 3rd line center, a 2nd line RW, a 2nd pair RD and a goalie.
Good luck finding that with no cap space.
You can send Foegs away and free up 2,75m and pay a 1st to get Campbell off, saving another 3,85m.
But then you still have to pay assets for all the other guys.
Kane needs to be better, and he knows that. Right now, Draisaitl is playing without proper 2nd line wings. Neither McLeod nor Foeggele are real 2nd line wings.
Foegs is scoring well for his means, but he`s not consistent enough and leaves too much on the table. He might be the cap casualty on the way out.
The Oilers need a RW for Draisaitl. Perry could be the guy, and he won`t cost assets.
McLeod – Draisaitl – Perry is something i could imagine. You can afford Kane in a 3rd line role when the line is working out, but you need a 3rd line center.
Holloway – 3rd Center – Kane could be an option. I would make Kane switch sides,
or run Kane – 3rd Center – Gagner
Which would leave a 4th of Janmark – Hamblin – Ryan
I don`t see Brown, his contract was another crime against the Oilers cup chances. To late now, next year a 3 assists in 32 games and -10 guy will cost them 3,25m dead cap.

Broberg and Holloway are not getting traded anytime soon. They are top prospects. Brown needs to spend some time in Bakersfield.

An injured Kane is still needed in a playoff run. His grit and experience. I can see Foegle gone. I have been fortunate enough to have seen many team firsts since 1980. The 10 game streak way another great one. Hopefully 12 after the Leafs matchup.
Kane could not do much with the line he was on, so it’s not his fault. Brown is way worse than what any of them are doing. His co tractor is just as bad as Campbell’s. 9 million wasted dollars. They need to put Holloway with Kane for sure with Perry if they get him?
I'm in the "no way the Oilers could afford to trade away his sandpaper come playoff time" camp with regards to Kane. Guys like him are exactly what the team will need in a tough series against Vegas or LA, for example. I think the allstar break will do him a lot of good. Adding a bottom six forward and a serviceable goalie would be big pluses as well, but we'll see.
I don’t understand why everyone is even having this conversation when there’s nothing broken right now! Any changes at this point could ruin the momentum and they don’t have the luxury of losing many games so I think that’s a non productive conversation entirely.
