I listened to the NFL announcers speculate whether HC Mike McCarthy would get fired when the Cowboys were getting their asses handed to them yesterday. One of the comments was “no, because you have to look at how quickly the fired coach would get picked up by another team.” This guy’s position was that a dozen other teams would be fumbling over themselves to hire McCarthy.
Put that same argument on Sheldon. No way would teams be tripping over each other to hire him? Would he even get another HC job in the show? I doubt it. An AHL coach at best, he was KD’s buddy from the Soo. Should’ve been gone after the playoff loss to the stinkin’ Habs in 2021.
C’mon Brad, c’mon Shanny. This team needs a shake up. Dump SK now. #firekeefe
I don’t like that this fanbase seems to turn every loss into a referendum on the leadership while handwaving away every win.
But I kind of understand the desire to fire Keefe, I think his messaging has grown tired but it could just as easily be the malaise of the regular season.
Personally I think that this roster needs new dmen. Brodie isn’t good enough anymore, Giordano isn’t good enough anymore and we can’t afford to strike out as hard on signings again this year like we did last year with the Trio of Kampf, Reaves and Klingberg. Even though 2/3 of them are on LTIR right now, they still were a huge opportunity cost.
The loss sucked fucking ass, obviously, but holy shit, I just saw the replay of Benoit saving that one goal. That’s actually some fucking insane shit. He’s actually been so fucking good, man. I’m starting to love him.
I’m glad I went to bed after the second. I had a beautiful 10 hour sleep, both kids slept through the night. *chefs kiss* it was beautiful.
