As long as the corporate seats keep getting bought up and the house is packed each night, what does MLSE care about whether they win a cup or not. Leafs are just too entitled, too soft, too focused on their own personal stats, and as shallow as a kiddie pool. Detroit simply wanted this game more, and deserved the win.

Not only were wings stuck in a airport they also played a back to back.
Leafs didn't just blow this game. They absolutely screwed themselves out of great placement in the standings. If the Leafs won their game yesterday which they should have, and if they would've won tonight, they would be 7 points ahead of Detroit and 2 points behind Florida. Now they are only 1 a head of Detroit and 6 behind Florida. Tampa is right there, and so are the Islanders and Devils for the wildcard spots.
There is a big possibility the Leafs don't make the playoffs this year If this continues. If something big doesn't change and they keep having these 3-4 game skids, it's over. 1 point in 3 win-able games is garbage.

edit: I do understand Nylander erns a little les for the rest of this season, but Larkin is on for another 6ish years at sub 9mil
also, keep in mind, Detroit is a top 5 scoring offense in the NHL currently. Are they mid or did they go through a slump? They were top 3 in scoring before a 9 game downturn. Detroit is not amazing, but they might be better than you give them credit for.

I agree with Sammy. It felt like a supportive but slightly sarcastic cheer for Samsonov. Kinda similar to cheering on your friend but also making fun of him at the same time. And, he's our friend. He helped lead us into Round 2 last year and we don't forget things like that. We WANT Samsonov to work out.
My Dad said he'd coach The Leaf's. The only problem is, unlike The Leaf's executives, the Cemetery executives where my Dad has resided since Dec 21, 1968 WILL notice; the hole in the ground, the dirt strewn about, the shovels, the open casket, and that his obviously soul less, exhumed, and rotted corpse is… MISSING !! The Wings played their best game of the year. Any team can beat any other on any given night. Give credit where it's due. It's a long season and all that maters is where the Leafs finish and what they do in the playoffs.

Tavares is too old he needs to go unless 3m cap hit max marner Matthew's or Nylander isn't worth there contract but we have to work with what we have also I don't think changing coach will help can Shanahan this is his plan he should be held accountable

I've joined the rest of the crowd; this team can't win paying 4 forwards $10+ million. Matthews has unbelievable shot and skills but no jam. He's a push-over.
I thought from day one this team would be mediocre at best. Looked like they would prove me wrong but now looks like I may have been right. They just don't have 3rd or 4th line threat. And I would love to see the younger defense guys get back in there. They seem to play with more piss and vinegar and are quicker at moving the puck.
