there was this moment in the 3rd where Boeser put it cross ice for Miller and he was just a stride and a half too slow and so was behind where he normally is
clearly some fatigue. end of a long road trip plus unscheduled bus ride. to be expected.
11 out of a possible 14 points on this 7 game road trip. That’s great. We should meet them at the airport and give them a big round of applause.

Kuzmenko and Mikhayev really need to step up. Maybe try playing them with Aman instead of Suter and see if that clicks.
I would have gone Petterson, Boeser, Hoglander, for the shootout. Then maybe Miller then kuzmenko. They did a weird order
No excuses boys shoulda won this. Team looked sloppy towards the end but 1 pt is better than none. Big picture doesnt matter, but no excuses in a game against columbus.
Figured this would be the outcome for today’s game. Considering its: 1) Last game of the road trip, 2) an early game, 3) they had delays even getting to Columbus.. we should all be so pleased they got a point out of what could very easily be considered a scheduled loss.
We had plenty of chances to go ahead 4-2 as well.. eh, wcyd.
DeSmith had a beauty of a game – unfortunate on that 3rd goal, but he carried us otherwise.

It feels like a bulk of the road games have already been played.
Can’t be too upset with this effort. We got 11 of 14 points and we’re playing a 10am game after delay in travel due to weather conditions. We still scored 3 goals and DeSmith did everything he could to push it to shootout.
Our 30th win will have to wait, but Canucks are legit. With LA and Vegas struggling recently, we should watch out for EDM with their 10th straight win: ****insert: objects in mirror may be closer than they appear meme****
The loss sucks, but that Elvis interview after was gold.
Can’t win them all, but the choices for shootout I feel are what lost the game.
A real wet fart of a hockey game. Terrible marketing for our good friends at Panda Express and for airport food in general.
Joking aside, this was not a hugely likely win. Hopefully the boys can sleep on the plane, get a little tune up game in against Arizona Thursday and absolutely slaughter Toronto on Saturday.

Time to rebuild I guess
Yeah it sucks we blew the lead but considering the circumstances I think getting a point is great, especially when it came down to a shootout. I don’t know how I feel about the shootout choices being the same from last time. I know all three were pretty good last year but I’m thinking we need to try something new if this happens again. Maybe go with Boeser, Hughes and Höglander or Garland.
Weakest part of the team was the D tonight. I think Juulsen should have been in over Cole. Anyway hope we get some rest and come out strong at home!
Gotta get that PP to start working better, when’s the last time we scored more than 1 PP goal in a game?
I got a migrane listening to 650 right now. Wow people are freaking out.
Honestly, this loss is the most justifiable Canucks loss this far. End of a 7 game road trip, played 6 games in 9 days, the nightmare journey out of Buffalo, 10am their time start… the boys are exhausted and understandably so.
But the thing that makes this loss kinda frustrating is that the Canucks, as tired as they are, managed to drag the game all the way into a shootout. Then in the shootout they look like they’re in team practice and blew it. The attempts were so uninspiring and low effort, even from the all-stars. I know they’re tired and eager to go home, but couldn’t they have just given it a few more minutes before zoning out? They kinda wasted their 65 min effort.
5-1-1 is still bloody amazing tho and I’m gonna try forget abt the lost streak. What an incredible roadtrip, the guys deserve lots and lots of rest

I think they need to shoot more in games like these when they are too tired to do the constant cycling.
It was nice to see vintage Pettersson with that snipe. Give him space and time and he’ll score. I am just waiting to hear when we sign him.
The guys looked tired. 7 game road trip, 11/14 pts. Even the loss against the blues was a tough-fought battle that we played well enough to earn something but didn’t. Overall, very happy.
