DeSmith played well, but he let in a bad goal to tie the game. Canucks looked tired by the 2nd and 3rd period. Salvaged a point so that’s good. I hope these guys get some sleep because they deserve it. 11-14 points on the road trip is amazing.

Merzlikins was the difference in this game. Shutting the door on the last 30 seconds of the 1st was crucial to keep Columbus from falling 2 goals down. Had the Canucks scored there, chances were better for them to carry a lead into the 3rd (and we know how the Canucks have done this year carrying a lead into the 3rd).

Why there is 4 on 4 in OT?
The Canucks were almost trapped in Buffalo from the snow, barely getting any rest and having to play a matinee game at 10am. They managed to get a point from this after a long road trip. I'll take it. I'm proud of them.

This was the worst schedule I’ve ever seen. Let’s play a game at 10 on the morning where one of the teams has a Holliday and the other one doesn’t. Plus one of the teams getting plastered with horrible weather. Makes sense.

Honestly can't be mad about this result. The Canucks have been on a tear for most of this road trip. Going in to the last game as exhausted as they must have been, and still coming out with a point is a win in my book.
Canucks and DeSmith especially fought hard and played their best, but you can clearly see they were exhausted from their long road trip. Rest up Canucks, you'll be going home soon!

The temp announcers straight up jinxed the Canucks. Talking about their perfect record when they lead going into the third. They must be the same guys who talk about shutouts with 10 mins to play. I should've placed a bet because when they uttered those words, the team was doomed. At least these guys are only here for one game because the next thing they might talk about is the fact that none of the star players have been injured yet, and other bonehead statements. It's one game I know, and the team is playing great, but I just like how they were outplayed by Columbus for large parts of the game. It was bad luck and bad penalties, but the Canucks looked pretty bad in this game.

The Blue Jackets were fortunate to have caught a team that was snowed in Buffalo and had 3 hours sleep and were on game 7 of a 7 game Eastern road trip. Blue Jackets are still a horrendous hockey team.
What a dumb idea to schedule a game at 1pm on a Monday where it isn't a holiday for the away team in Canada.
Fantastic road trip for the Canucks. They’ve played some great hockey, put in some terrific shifts, and look like a team that’s bonded and strong. Can't really fault the Canucks for this. Getting snowed in in Buffalo, having to bus to Toronto late and fly to Columbus and then a freaking matinee game to top it all. Getting the 1 point out of the game was a big effort.
