1. The only positive thing about Monahan is that his cap hit is only 1.9 million. Unfortunately, he only has 24 points so far this year, is 29, would be a pure rental and injuries have really diminished his effectiveness offensively. I wouldn't give up anything for him. Not at this stage of his career. Zadorov could ultimately be a pure rental given cap restraints, so another rental wouldn't be the direction I'd go in. If they insist on getting a 2nd line centre rather than having Miller and Pettersson on different lines, I'd rather it be someone who is younger, definitely less injury prone and signed beyond this season. The Canucks would be getting 1/10 of the guy who was on Calgary's top line. This is the first time in a decade that they've been this good and already they want to sell the farm with these rental players. I hope it works as a fan, but I certainly wouldn't take the risk. I'd rather take my chances with this roster and if they didn't win the Cup 😂, improve the team once Zadorov and Myers are off the books. Obviously, Pettersson will get a big raise, but they'll have $9 million to figure that out plus add another player.

  2. Canucks don’t have much cap room to add a player. Our trade chips are Kuzmenko, Cole, Myers, Garland and Joshua. Imo Garland and Joshua are off the table given how good they’ve been with Blueger. So that leaves Kuzmenko, Cole and Myers. Cole and Myers are pending UFA’s, but to deal them, we’d have to get an equivalent defenseman in return. Kuzmenko would be the key piece to move if Canucks are to add anyone. His 5.5M cap hit off the books this season (and next) could shore up some bucks for trades. Problem is he has such high potential and could be a game breaker in playoffs. Tough decisions for Canucks management…

  3. As a diehard European football fan, the presidents trophy should mean more. It’s very challenging to go all year as the best team

  4. Nucks coulda shoulda won that game! Ah but what is with using an often benched 8 goal scorer in the shootout instead of a 27 goal scorer???

  5. I think 7 game road trips should be banned. Especially for western teams. A serious look at the travel needs for many teams to be looked at. There must be some kind of fair way to deal with the extra hard schedule for west an easy holiday for the east who mostly have 2 bad trips a year when they have to come out west but some of them dont even get any 7 game western trips at all, some get a couple of 5 gamers at worst maybe 1 6 game on a bad year.

  6. Sean Monahan ? No no no fellas "18 Year old Sean Monahan" !!
I'm sure some will remember what I'm referring to 🤣

  7. Name me the last two teams to win both the President's trophy and Lord Stanley's mug. Provide the years….

President's trophy? More like Bettman's Curse.
