  1. You should say you were tired because your team had zero room and they looked like they were on a power play for 60 minutes

  2. After a game 7 two days earlier, big emotional win, and traveling to Edmonton, you can try to have the team 'ready" for game 1, but it's almost impossible to do. The Isles are into this new series now, will be ready for game 2. I'm not saying Tampa won't win, but the Isles will be playing their game. I wouldn't be surprised if the Isles have a completely different game in game 2. They actually had a lot of chances, but were surprised by the Bolts' speed. Game 2 will be very interesting, and may dictate the series. If the Isles can regroup and win a tight defensive battle, it could be a completely new series. If Tampa wins like 5-2 running away, it's probably lights out for the Isles, because it will indicate the Islanders can't handle the Bolts. But the Isles are into the series now, and Trotz is going to make sure game 2 reflects that. I'm looking forward to game 2.

  3. Honestly, it's better the Isles lost this game big like this. It allows for a restart and refresh. Their heads were still in Toronto. Now their heads are in Edmonton. Series on, and whatever the outcome of this series, count on the Isles playing their best game next game. Whether they win or not or have an answer to Tampa, I don't know, but I'm pretty sure we'll see their best and a strong defensive effort. Trotz got whatever leverage he needed to remind the boys beating Philly is now in the past, the distant past. The Philly series is now out of their system. It'll be all business in game 2.

  4. Getting blown out helps the Isles start as "zero" again, which may not be a bad thing. The 8-2 beating might serve them well going forward, we'll see. New city, new series, time to get to work. Darkness before light, if there be light at all, hope so for the sake of the Isles, otherwise this will be done quickly.

  5. That was just a beat down period regroup get back at it again but boy oh boy is Tampa fast we just got to generate more offensive pressure 6 games to go
