People need to calm down FFS. They win a bunch in a row and all is better. EVERY TEAM IN THE LEAGUE GOES THROUGH UPS AND DOWNS. These are all learning experiences for them. Stop panicking for christs sake and just enjoy a game for a change.
Shut down 2-3 gifted scorers and Leafs are an average team at best.Add lack of grit and no system and they are lost.

My dear Canadian hockey fans,I am a75 year old hockey nut from Chicago,I played the game along time,no where as a pro but it is the greatest game in the world!I go back as far to Bower,Kelly,Baun,Mahovolich,Big Chief,Keon,anyway,I have always been a Leafs fan,and believe it I also like the Canadians and the Jets,they just donot have that killer instinct ,you just do not acquire that!Talent of course is needed,but spirit and heart,are a big factor!I really felt sorry for Samsonov their goaltender!They should of pored it on for him!I listen to you guys,and I will keep rooting for the Arenas!
Keefe is toast! No ideas and they obviously aren’t listening to him. Plus he doesn’t know how to coach to the situation. Up by two, let’s make it three and before you know it they are tied; they can’t ever lock a game down. That’s a coaching issue.

Keefe always gets out coached. Our core always gets outworked. We take late penalties and begin periods slow. Keefe has to go but if the next coach cannot call out the core it's a useless move.
If Mackinnon, Taves and Makar are at the next level, why did the Leafs core four each get roughly the most money of any hockey player in history with a salary cap being what it is. Leafs are a toxic delusional culture, those goofs screwed the team for another generation. It is entirely their greed that destroyed the best opportunity for success the Leafs have had since expansion. Unfortunately they’re way too rich and spoiled to care.

It's certainly not by making or performing in the payoffs. The rink will always sell out so the Prez has nothing to do with that. It is my contention his focus should be ficussed on bringing a Cup to Toronto. Years of missing the Post Season and getting bounced rudely in the 2nd round laxt year translates to abject failure by Shanahan. Why is he President of Hockey Operations? He's accomplished nothing since his playing career.

Honestly the whole team looks tired. They start off games good but seem to run out of gas as the game gets into the 2nd half portion.
Look I'm not trying to make excuses but whoever made the schedule for the leafs seriously needs to give his head a shake.
Between flying to Sweden for games and having 1 game at home and then hit the road for 2 or 3 and then you have the back to backs, then California trip only to head to the west coast.
To top it all off Keefe is having practice every day and not giving them a break. Something has to give and you're seeing what a tired well traveled team looks like.

What do you suggest Keefe do when Treliving won't give him different players to work with? The Buffalo shelling should have pushed the GM to make a move, and it didn't, so expect more of the same ole same ole in TO, like usual.
Rosie nailed it, lack of burning desire,lack of character, and a coach who doesnt seem able to inspire them. I dont see anything better than last years playoffs result unless GM Tre' shakes these guys by moving a couple of players and aquiring a couple of guys with a real desire to win.

Players give up when they receive these big contracts. It has been proven on many teams. It's the players that are fighting for good contracts that make the difference. Contracts should be small to mid across the board. The money should be spread evenly and all players should be taught that they have to play that extra bit harder to go from a small amount to a mid level contract. If a player is upset and wants big money then I say let them walk and have another team suffer with that huge contract. The Leafs have 0 D – it is actually embarassing and the forwards are just out there skating pond hockey for a paycheck.

While I'm getting tired of Keefe doing nothing and getting no where, they still need three top four d-men, a goalie and a fourth line. I could tell 5 games in that they didn't have the players to be competitive, Tree failed by not upgrading the defense.
