  1. On the He Was A Pen list, who is the guy you skipped over near the bottom of the list? David something? I can't quite read it…

  2. It's all Mario Lemieux for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Who'll replace Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. Pittsburgh history dictates that they'll be very bad for over 10 years. On the verge of folding or moving and then get another generational talent.

  3. when iggy was a penguin i was hoping he would stay if he did he would have gotten a cup there

  4. Penguins didn’t take the Islanders lightly, Tom Barasso played terrible in that series. One of the most overrated goalies of all time. He was the weak link on that team like in 1996 against the Panthers.

  5. I am shocked Stevens is the all time penalty minute leader for this franchise, He was never a fighter

  6. the Pittsburgh Penguins have been blessed with 4 of the greatest players EVER Lemuiex, Crosby, Jagr, Malkin, Francis, Paul Coffey

  7. The 1992-93 team is the best Pens team by far and the 2nd greatest team ever(2001-02 Red Wings are #1). Alexei Kovalev, Petr Nedved, Markus Naslund, and Marty Mcsorley were Penguins too. Kris Beech is arguably the worst Penguin ever.

  8. I know it's easy to forget he's part of the team, but Marleau has indeed played over 1000 games.

  9. Thanks for giving Kenny Wregget some respect! He was a pretty good goalie that played on some not so good Flyers, and Maple Leafs teams. He was the best back up in the league with the Pens. I always felt comfortable when he started or came in to relieve Barrasso. Wregget was pretty solid, and a decent puck handling goalie too. He easily gets totally forgotten about though.

  10. The Pens made ALL the right moves before and during the 90'-91' season, and Patrick does deserve a lot of respect for that.
Before the season: Signing Trottier as a FA was huge, trading a 2nd rd pick for Mullen was great.
During the season: Trading Jim Johnson and Chris Dalquist to Min for Larry Murphy and Taglianetti. Great trade.
Picking up Jiri Hrdina for Jim Kyte was HUGE too. Jagr was struggling somewhat, getting homesick, and having trouble communicating in English. Bringing in an older veteran from his home country, in Hrdina, really helped him. That and he was a better player than Kyte.
Then…boom they trade Cullen, Zalapski, and Jeff Parker for Ron friggen Francis, Ulf Samuelsson, and Grant Jennings. Absolutely perfect moves for Patrick.

  11. the pens are a trash organization. They tanked for lemieux, tanked for years to get fleury, malkin, staal. The league gave them Crosby so they wouldnt move when the fans abandoned them. Theyre a disgrace of an organization. Bettman and the league even bends the rules for them so they could win two cups.

  12. Thank you for mentioning Ken Wregget. I thought he was better than Tom Barrasso in the mid-to-late 90s.

  13. Grinders win stanley cups not stars

Penguins had so many great role players over the years
Gord Murphy, Joe Mullen, Ulf Samuelsson, Phil Bourque, Bob Errey Kuntiz Bonino Hornqvist csnt forget the grinders

  14. Malkin > Jagr

For us pens fan we love him more he won 3 cups Jagr 2
Jaromir was a jag off here in the lockeroom

Here in the burgh Geno is goal lol

  15. Jagr played 826 more games than Malkin
    And has ….
    350 more goals
    495 more assists
    845 more points

Malkin will have those totals plus one more cup if he plays as many games as Jagr sure Jagr was an iron man but that's all he has on Geno Jagr just played so long that's why he has his stats
