Hartnell just said that "Briere wanted Gauthier to stay in BC another year" I was told that was Cutter's decision.
Why did Gauthier 'not want to play in Philadelphia' ? That was never clarified. Drysdale will be a good acquisition if his shoulder injury has fully recovered. Question is – who comes off the current roster ?
The last Eagles player I watched every play was Reggie White…. The last Flyers player I watched every play was Eric Lindros…. Who knows how good cutter could be but fans want to see an exciting goal-scoring type player….who has a sniper of a shot… who was the Flyers last sniper, Reggie Leach? I don’t know….seems like hard-headed stubbornness from the triumvirate of Briere’, Jones, and Tortorella

This team needs scorers. SCORERS! They can't score. They've only won 2 of their last 9 games so what do they trade Gauthier, a scorer they need, for? Yep, another mucker and grinder defenseman. Gauthier wanted out? Great. Find a team who's willing to trade a prospect who can score. This team hasn't had a consistent scorer since LeClair. I'm tired of having a team of nothing but muckers and grinders. Time to move on from the 70's, boys.

Imagine not even talking to or meeting the team that drafted you before playing a second in the NHL? What an entitled brat. Briere even flew to Sweden to meet him. His parents wouldn't even meet. Understandable not wanting to play for a team, but to just ghost them? Kid has issues.
just watched Drysdale's first game with the Flyers. Seems that Danny and Jonsey were on the spot with this deal! Jame's movement and passing skills are amazing. Looking forward to watching this young man for years to come!
