This isn’t just true for hockey, it’s true for life. Improving at anything takes time. Like if you start today learning how to play a musical instrument, and play a little bit every day, at first it won’t feel like you are getting any better. Especially if you try to compare yourself to people who are already proficient. But if you look back at how far you’ve come after a year of practicing a little bit every day, then you’ll see a big difference. And if you keep putting in years of practice, the progress will continue. It doesn’t happen linearly, and it doesn’t happen all at once, but it does eventually happen if you are patient and stick with the process. Muscle memory takes time to build.

Slaf became my favourite player this year (it should be Suzuki but he gets no respect and I’m just following that convention)
