@Oilers d'Edmonton

  1. I was a believer in Woody and disappointed when he was fired. I was disappointed with the start of the Oilers season, very heartbreaking. I knew Campbell was a horrible goalie and why Woody would use him as a starter goalie was a guaranteed lost. Making me turn the game off. But man getting rid of Campbell and Woody was a major improvement in the team. What a transformation the team has made. Skinner is playing his best and Paul Coffee has made a huge difference In the attitude of all the players. I will always support the team win or lose its the right thing to do. Either you're a fan or not. Watching the Oilers is the biggest bang for your buck. Highly entertaining

  2. Paul Coffee even Wayne said he is the best coach they could have as a power defence man who scored goals consistently through his entire career and right defense him and Low were one of best defense players ever and good goal scoring abilities and he turned out so far to be a great coach you never know when you start coaching for first time and either you can coach or your not meant to be a coach but Paul Coffee has them playing very good position hockey and there always joining the rush I mean good example against leafes Mckleud s game winner all 3 Toronto players are on the opposite side of net worried about McDavid and McKleod walks right out no one there except McDavid who watches shot go in the Toronto players were on wrong side of net and Conner just screens and you could see he knew it was going in he watched it not a leaf player on it between McDavid and Mclead who just completely walks in perfect screen and aiming for top corner where Toronto players Are all standing these oilers are a dangerous team and with the good defense has made them even better they have the talent toughness and good goal tending I mean McDavid can win a game by himself but if they stay dry and no injuries there going to be a team you don't want to play in first round also Winnepeg has to be mentioned with there streak experience and same as oilers if they stay good would be another team not to meet in first round

  3. Oilers have been a strong back half team for the past 3 seasons. the thing theyre doing now that they haven't shown before is their ability to consistently win games 2-1, 3-2, when they arent scoring 4+ goals. They arent needing to outscore their problems. and thag gives me hope

  4. We’ll see after the deadline. They probably want to shore up the Right side at Forward and Defense. Maybe a Pickard alternative to play more games.

  5. No. Premature to even contemplate that especially since they have still to address some serious needs in the roster. The depth isn't there yet imo.

  6. I don't think they played that well the last 4 games or so, although Skinner has. But somehow they keep winning. I think they have a much higher ceiling. They should play Pickard more, like 40% of the games.

  7. Sadly, no. Their path to glory was probably easiest last year as I felt they could’ve beaten anyone, even when they lost to Vegas. This year, they dug themselves too deep of a hole, and if they don’t want to get spanked by Colorado or Winnipeg, they have to get a divisional spot, which means playing one of L.A. or Vegas in the first round, then Vancouver in the 2nd (assuming they make it there). Then they have to play the central team in round 3 which, anyone short of Dallas, would be a disaster. And even if, EVEN if they make it to the finals, they’re probably so battered and bruised that they might not have enough in the tank for the east champion.

They’ll make it, but I think they last 2 rounds and are goners…which = a failed season

  8. Honestly I think a big thing has been that knobs simplified things so much. I love woody, he was a great coach, but he switched lines so often that if made it hard to gain chemistry. Knobs built solid lines and mostly kept them

  9. Coaching change needs to happen in Toronto. need a Tortorella in there to hold the guys to account. Keefe is too soft and obv isnt teaching good positioning in the D zone. All coaching staff needs a revamp.

  10. Well the big achilles heel last year was goaltending, but it seems adversity has helped Skinner, especially, to mature. But as always wth this team, let's wait and see.

  11. While awesome for the new coach; and the entire team for pulling together; but I think that Paul Coffey was always both a great team player and individual talent – and I think he has probably had a very positive impact on the team.

  12. I think that what matters is if the guys in the locker room believe they're a cup contender, then they are. Regardless of the uniform. I really hope the Oil continue the push for the playoffs…

  13. The Leafs and the Oilers are both cup contenders in their fans minds . IN REALITY Leafs are out in the first round of the playoffs and depending on where the Oilers finish , they might make the 2nd round .

  14. Canucks still going to beat the oilers in first round, come on Demko vs skinner I’d take Demko anyday🏒🥅

  15. Cmon Buttons
Let it all out, don’t hold back.
Matthews doesn’t have what you would want the leafs to emulate.once he scores he believes his job is done for the evening,he was invisible for the rest of the night.McDavid on the other hand has what it takes to be a leader,if McDavid is not having a multi point night then McDavid does whatever it takes to lead his team to victory. He digs deep with a concerted effort and does not quit. The Oilers and it’s fans are lucky to have McDavid as their leader and Captain.McDavid is by far the best player on the planet by a mile.Matthews just might be in the top ten and that’s a maybe at best.
