Wow, all of them voting for Quinn in 1st is surprising. It’s not like Makar is having a bad season. Let’s hope that’s how the vote goes when it matters

  2. I’m actually staggered at the gap, thought it would be much closer at this stage. How many games has Makar missed this season?

That 2018 draft ended up being absolutely ridiculous with defencemen in the 1st round.

Dahlin, Hughes, Dobson, and Bouchard in the first half.

Absolutely criminal we only had 6 picks that year.

I wasn’t in love with Hughes pick. I was absolutely wrong about that. I wanted Dobson.

I’m genuinely surprised, I honestly thought it would be an uphill battle for Quinn to get attention. I didn’t think he’d be running away with it like this.

  6. Bogarting, but I *really* wish we would have been able to get Dobson when we were in trade talks with NYI. I know it wasn’t as simple as « Horvat for Dobson ». But if there was *any* realistic way we could have gotten Dobson, I really wish we would’ve.

The amount of NHL fans in the original tweet not understanding the points on the graphic are points of votes and note points from scoring is making me cackle 😂

  8. This is from 15 writers at NHL.com, who are not necessarily members of the Professional Hockey Writers’ Association (who actually pick the award).

The Morrisey disrespect. Maybe they might view Hellebucyk’s abilities as a bigger credit to the Jets, but Morrisey had also played a big part.

Who even is this meker guy? Sounds overrated

It’s Quinn’s year. Doing what he has done as a 1st year captain of a team that went from nothing to the top of the standings is hard to overlook. The tables have turned and it’s Makar who will have to overperform to make the case against Quinn.
