The Devil's season is shot. Not to be a doomer, but even when this team wasn't half injured, they hardly played a game that wasn't a nailbiter under Lindy's system. The young guys, who have been fun to watch and playing great, clearly need time to develop. If this team can stay healthy next year and pick up a playoff ready goaltender, they'll have a great year. The worst decision made was letting Brunette go and extending Lindy. Lindy's coaching has been atrocious, Holtz, who's been performing well, didn't even have 10 minutes on ice tonight. Fitz shouldn't make any drastic trades to try and save this season, just let it ride and let the young core develop, pick up a goaltender in pre-season next year, and sign the guys who deserve it. I think Miller has been an awesome pickup.

Devils are so disappointing, thanks to Fitzy the goaltender and Defence have been the problem all year. Make a move already, this isnt a time to sit back and be like lets play the young core to develop, umm this isnt the time to do that, we're pass that part.

Alex Lyon is now 10-4-1 in 15GP for us this year. This game also marks only the second time this year we've won after scoring fewer than four goals in a game. Now, if we could improve in the faceoff circle (only 39% tonight!), that'd be great… but I think we're on the right track! Let's go Wings!

Depressing for NJD fans. Regulation losses at home against SJS, ANA, CBJ, and now MTL this year. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up missing a WC at this point. What's equally frustrating to me, even with all the injuries, is Ruff playing Holtz for 8 minutes TOI. There's no way Nate Bastian should be getting double TOI over Alex. Ridiculous.

My Habs are a 1 line team with an underage defense , 3 goalie rotation and a sophomore coach and they are only 5 points behind the Leafs. Not a playoff team this year but they will be a strong team soon

I'm an Avs fan and normally it would be blasphemous for me to cheer for the Wings. This season is a rare exception because the Wings have a chance to knock the Leafs out of a playoff spot. With the win tonight, the Wings are 3rd in the Atlantic which puts Leafs in the wild card spot. Penguins and Capitals are 2 points behind them. Can't believe I am saying this…but Go Wings
