Je me demande si le Lightning serait intéressé à déplacer Hagel s’il n’est pas acheteur (avec quels actifs) à la date limite. Lightning se dirige vers une reconstruction le plus tôt possible.

Hagel was obviously drafted and let go by Buffalo but he’s turned into a solid top 6 option in the NHL. He’s locked up long term and not for a huge cap hit. The only problem obviously is if the Lightning are headed for a rebuild « soon » why would they give up the 25 year old locked up long term. That being said if there’s a way to re acquire Hagel I’d be all over it.

I would be so interested. What do you think is a reasonable pay. I’m sure we could pay the price, but I don’t know why an overpay is.
Also, sign Stamkos if Lightning for some reason didn’t bring him back?

The Lightning is going to be really interesting to watch this offseason. They still haven’t talked to Stamkos about a new contract but JBB said yesterday that they are absolutely not trading him before the deadline. They are roughly $10 million over the cap now. They don’t have a first or second round pick next year nor a first round the year after. Something has to give sooner or later with this team and honestly Hagel is really the only option they have to get some picks back but I think that would also mean them giving up on this season. Yet they are in a wild card spot right now…

No chance. Is the team on the back end of their window? Yes. But any team with Kucherov, Vasilevskiy, Hedman, Stamkos, and Point is gonna have a chance in the playoffs.

Tampa is not going into rebuild anytime soon. They cannot resign Stamkos to market value, but rest of the core is under 31yrs.

A 60ish point middle 6 winger isn’t really a big need for this team. Add him being signed 6.5M for another 8 years after this season. Gonna make contracts with Quinn, Peterka, and Levi much more difficult. Seems like a lot to give up for that.

Lol of course not. They just signed him for 8 years. They love the guy. And he’s having a great albeit snakebit year. That’s like asking if the Sabres would’ve been interested in moving Cozens at last years deadline.
