Sit Mika Kreider and Miller for 2 weeks.
Wow, really hard to watch tonight… happy birthday mess??
Calling it now, we’re going on another 5 game loss streak
Hockey should be renamed: “*Goalie*”
One team had great goaltending tonight, one didn’t.
Is there a whole lot of nuance in between I’m ignoring? There sure is… but generally… that’s what happened.
3 of Vegas’ first 4 goals should’ve been stopped by Igor. They weren’t even high danger chances besides MAYBE the 2nd one and that’s pushing it.
Feel free to criticize how the team as a whole played but it’s difficult to overcome that and that absolutely is the biggest reason we lost.
Mika getting 1C money to be a PP merchant 2C for the next SEVEN YEARS is nothing short of a nightmare.
How do you play so good, so consistently to start the season and then just forget? I just don’t understand how this team unlearned how to play and reverted back to their bad habits of last season
At least I can justify staying up this late since the new Lil Dicky album dropped at midnight. This team needs to figure it out. Not a single player looked like they gave a shit tonight
Things that are ass:
– Our 5 v 5 play
– Igor’s Goaltending (stop denying it)
– Whole Team’s ability to skate
– Puck Awareness
Well that sucked. Not how you want to start the road trip.
Soft goals aside, this team seriously quits after 1 is put in on them and they don’t already have a lead. It’s been really evident during this rough patch. If we’re down or a team responds immediately, I have very little faith we’ll battle back and tie–let alone win— the game right now.
Not seeing any hustle or passion out there from anyone. Just frustration and slow, lazy play. WAY too many players were slow coming back after a turnover or reaching for pucks.
This team has been too penisy for too long
How does every goalie we face put on a magic show and now Igor is looking so human. Goaltending was such a big difference this game. Igor just did not have it. Rangers could not capitalize early on. We keep getting so many chances but no goals early. They need to find a way to finish. Hek.
We didn’t bleed chances and I thought we played a better game than the score indicates but man this game changed when we were dominating the first period and then Vegas scores on basically their first chance of the game, Total back breaker of a goal that Shesty needed to have. Vegas gets another lucky one off a skate and they went into defensive mode and we couldn’t break through. Frustrating game because that was so winnable.
Oh no we have bewildered/sad Vally
I’ll keep this brief because it’s time for everyone to go to bed
good start to the first. but after that, the guy who I wanted and Vally wanted scored twice. This game was those games where a team survives the first 10 minutes of the game and scores first. that what happen.
the Rangers played bad.
too tired to rant.
go to bed everyone. rest up, take a nap prior to the next game too.
all I have to say after a bad showing on ***Rangers After Dark***……. onto the Kings.
get sleep. onto the Kings.
Ouch.
5v5 offense was a gallant problem and now it’s a glaring Laviolette problem.
The players are the constant.
Not that that brings any comfort being that anyone on the team with a cap hit above $3M is extended through 2027 or longer with iron clad no movement clauses… but that’s another discussion.
If Quick gets us the Cup, I’d play him over Igor. Quick’s probably gone after this year Igor is our future, but I can’t help but see Quick being *the* game changer

*Final score: rangers 1 (85 shots on goal) // gold knights 6 (7 shots on goal)*
Hey I was close
Good to see Vall shitting on the shitty goaltending
After tonight’s display I agree we need Quick in the net more. Igor is solid when he’s solid, but when he’s not he collapses.
Saw this on [twitter](https://x.com/shanebullen/status/1748189946534371335?s=46&t=-hZUwAjWy9snCiM0-qJX-g), but posting here because it’s wildly concerning.
13 of our 16 losses (81%) our opposition has scored 2 goals within 4 mins.
9 of our 16 losses (56%) our opposition has scored 2 goals within 2 mins.
18 of our 44 overall games (41%) our opposition has scored 2 goals within 4 mins.
Something’s gotta change because no way are we winning the cup, or making it far when almost every other game we give up 2 rapid fire goals
My feeling is that we over performed early in the season due to our schedule and some weirdly good goaltending from quick. We’re not as bad as we’re playing now and a large part of our issues are mental. If those get fixed we’re probably a middle of the pack to low middle of the pack playoff team like a 4-6 seed in the conference.
3 wins in 2024 bummin me out
Our lack of scoring from the bottom 6 has worn out our top 6. Not only are they playing way too much – all of them except Kakko near 20 minutes or more tonight – the opposition only has to focus on them to shut us down.
Something needs to change fast.
Should’ve turned it off after yet another instance of us giving up multiple goals in less than a minute of each other.
Came into road-trip thinking we needed three out of four to keep setting pace atop metro. Division is tightening up, and we’re trending in the wrong direction. Need a big turnaround in our back-to-back this weekend or we’ll be in an uncomfortable spot heading back home.
Bad
Vali is roasting this team right now and deservedly so.

This team was awake for the first 10 minutes of play. Everyone looked alive, and then it’s like Shang Tsung just sucked the souls out of everyone. Playing against a Vegas team missing their best players. Shesty not playing up to par and this team just going on auto pilot. My kingdom for some goddamn consistency. Please.
See you Saturday.
This team has a mentality issue, including Igor.
