My concern is that the Jets will enter the playoffs with fast skilled players but who are soft. Playoffs demand that players give thier all. Soft players crumble. Getting grinders and D-men who can hit are the greatest needs when entering the playoffs. Trade for players like Hathaway or Greenway. Trade for a D-men with size and who can hit.
Rentals usually dont make as huge impact. if we can sign them to a multiple year contract upon trading, then sure. We have 2 years here, at least, that will be fun. Players should be interested.
Hus Casey Mittelstadt is who I would like to see the jets get.

Zegras has alot of hype but i dont think he will ever be a #1 center and way he plays not sure will translate playoffs where play tightens and physicality increases.
Way things are going for jets i dont really want a Lindholm forwards have been playing well.
Monahan,Nelson are interesting i see chevy getting a center and dman this deadline. Monahan makes 1.9m and its good have depth incase a ehlers or important player gets injured again we have multi tool guys who can move up.
Tanev makes alot of sense if they can ship out a Pionk/Schmidt contract 5.9m or sooner then later trade stanley make room for chisholm/heinola.
I know wouldnt happen but rumors of Bergeron skating again and boston if Toews could be on 4th line or type of guy like monahan move up but im sure hes retired now.
Seeler,Walker,Henrique,Savard,Pearson,Martinook could fit.
Edmundson/Bortuzzo are big and physical but older i dont think Pacioretty,Oshie,Wilson makes sense.

If you add a Monahan/whoever and they arnt at 2nd line level having a 4th line on paper like you said with Namestnikov/Barron + Monahan/whoever makes sense we would have alot of depth or if needed add a player in trade with kupari,aĵf,toninato,Gus.

Really think the Jets do not need to make a move unless its affordable and at least 3 years. But have alot of respect for our GM becuase he usually does not make too many bad deals
I can see Tanev, sorry, but Nate Schmidt is an absolute liability on the ice.
