  1. Buffalo fans, I would like to know your thoughts on the Kurashev hit. It looked real bad and I hate seeing that happen to any players, but Pang in the booth was pleading that it was more incidental and a non-major. Just curious if you agree with the call

  2. Jamie Benn has turned back into a pumpkin. Guy is back to playing like a cold turd warmed over.

  3. I'm not blaming refs for LA's loss but there were at least 2 times that LA should have had a 5 on 3 PP on the same player when Byfield was tripped and then crosschecked by o believe Scissons (especially after that call on Roy) and when McDonagh caught Dubios with a high stick when he got called for delay of game but for some reasons the refs will only call the 1st penalty it is really frustrating because it's not the 1st time I've seen it its becoming a far to regular occurrence just call the damn penalties

  4. If only the Sabres had a coach that got all the players pulling in the same direction…Berube

  5. Great video! For the Boston non-offsides call, Zacha had possession and control as he crossed the blue line. The same way that you can skate backwards with the puck into the zone and it will not be called offsides. If the player has possession and control of the puck while his skates cross the blue line before the puck (which they clearly did) the play will not be deemed offsides.

  6. You are SO right about the hit totals. There are so many games that i see where the hit totals don't match what i saw or guys don't get credited for huge hits. Is it just tough to keep track of? Head scratcher

  7. I was lowkey expecting you to wear a Flyers jersey. Unlike Boston, the Flyers dominated a very good Stars team holding them to under 10 shots for like 35 minutes of play. Dallas was deflated after that 1st period. You could see otter's frustration with the team in front of him. If you would have told me before the game the Flyers would do that to the Stars I'd have called BS. I even thought the Stars were going to win. they were 6-0-0 vs the Metro this year. at this point of the season Torts should be the highest candidate to win the Jack Adams award.

  8. If UPL can keep this up we may be saying it. He should have been playing more earlier in the season. Sabres were rotating through 3 goalies. on more than a few occasions UPL would have a strong game, and then Levi and comrie would start a game before UPL played again. I felt like he was rarely givem a chance to ride momentum following a good game.

  9. What the Flyers are doing shouldn't be happening.
How can a team that was couldn't get out of their own way last year, look so good at this moment?
Coaching has been so good, Torts, Shaw and Co doing such a good job at making lemonade from lemons.
It's a cohesive, tightly knit team what are "pulling in the same direction" as you said.
But a rebuild that's winning, and not only winning, dominating these "better" teams.
    Is it culture?
    Maybe.
Whatever it is, keep it up..
    This team is FUN.
    Go Flyers!

  10. In the case of the offside for the Bruins game: My understanding, according to the encyclopedia of Jack Edwards, is that a player can be over the line before the puck if he has possession and a clear handle on the puck. Still could have gone either way but as a Boston fan, I'm not too mad about it.

  11. There are hours of media discussion every day about the Leafs, and Shannon sums them up in a few sentences.

  12. On the Bruins DeBrusk goal, it counts because the offsides rule states if the player crosses the line before the puck and is carrying and in control of the puck, it's on side. NESN covered it well during the broadcast….even with that rule, I was also surprised it was kept on the board. And I agree, it's the best the Bruins have looked in a few weeks.

  13. I like the new look of the Caps power play with returning of Oshie and the addition of Pacioretty. I always wondered what the Caps version of that duel cannon setup would look like, with a sniper on both side of the ice. That seems to be a very successful formula in the past few years in the league.
