So Sunday night is going to be rough. Especially if Matty is out. Basically have McCann and Wennberg at center. Gonna have to fill out Center from wingers, call up Wright, or hope Beniers is healthy enough to go.

Sucks that we lose him for a couple games, but it’s a fair suspension. Can’t be making hits like that. Next couple might be rough, but hopefully we can get something going again once he’s back, and Matty and Dunn are able to return.

Appropriate punishment, even though it sucks for us.
In looking at the hit, I think this should be a one game suspension. This is the kind of hit that should be addressed, even if DOPS generally seems to be inconsistent in its assessments.

Edit: On the serious side, Gourde is darn lucky that his idiotic hit didn’t actually injure Ekholm, or else he would have deserved a 5+ game suspension.
