How do we even know if Jakob Chychrun is in fact a better defenceman than Ville Heinola. Villes never been given a real good look.
Chychrun is bigger, sure but he's had a torn MCL and never played a full 82 games. And he's getting 4.6 million.
Ville looked good in training camp and could possibly be the upgrade on the 2nd PP unit the Jets need right under their nose. The grass ain't always greener, ask LA fans how they feel about Gabe Vilardi turning into a full blown put away the garbage machine while PLD still twirls around the ice looking like a big dumb lost hunting dog.
Great Show guys. I hope that Chevy surprises with some one out of no where that fits like Demelo, Nino, Stas, and vlad. Like the Tanev option. Not high on monahan. Hope for some chevy magic
Trading guys who fit well in the room can sometimes upset the cart. As well, someone will end up in the press box which can cause a problem. Some guy who fought like hell to help the team into the playoffs ends up sitting, can differently upset more than one player. This is a very delicate situation. It has a lot more to consider than just how well a guy plays.
