Baffled myself. Home broadcast was busy talking to a twins pitcher for 10 minutes while whatever happened, happened.
My volleyball coach used to get that from the refs all the time. He didn’t have a wall in front of him tho.
I was sitting there watching the home broadcast and I too want an explanation. One announcer was like “there was a minor for unsportsmanlike conduct and extra for a coach or manager on the ice” and the other announcer began with “Yeah so what happened was Duhaime tried to fight Lomberg-“, no dude that is NOT the call that needs explaining. I can’t believe no one felt bothered to talk about something as ridiculous as staff on the ice in the middle of a game.
How does this even happen? And where is this in the rulebook?
Well which one was it?
According to what I’ve read here and there it was a misreport. What happened is that coach Hynes failed to send players on the ice within the allotted time after a stoppage which is a bench minor. Florida fans should know more because I think it was explained well during their broadcast.
