Since I missed this contest, I am going to rely on you for your usual factual analysis. Sorry that the deep sea monsters were unable to pull this one out. Despite the odd officiating as you describe it, I have every expectation that the Kraken will overcome even that in future. GO KRAKEN!

idk why your complaining about the hit on Ekholm. your cant jump to hit a player no question. if your feet leave the ice after the hit then its fine but you can not jump before. also no intent to play the puck he was mad there was a no call on a cross check got hot headed then did a bone head play. did Ekholm exaggerate that hit yes but have you seen any high sticking call, everyone dose it. if a player gets hit in the face they sell it 95% of the league dose it also he was bleeding so idk if i would call that nothing. the ref was awful for sure but he was bad for both teams its not like the kraken lost bc of the ref.
I have things I want to say about McDavid, but none of them are family-friendly friendly. I'm sure y'all know what and feel similar.
Even if it didnt succeed in injuring ekholm that gourde hit had all of the elements of a dangerous hit that deserves a major penalty. He skated all the way through it, left his feet, targeted the head, and it was obviously retaliatory for the cross check he received. Other missed calls don't justify that shit, it was gross
