  1. The Islanders just fired head coach Lane Lambert and replaced him with the aggressive Patrick Roy! They will now likely make the playoffs.

The Leafs have sunk into fourth place with the Red Wings just one point behind.

Unless GM Brad “Stand Pat” Treliving does something drastic, they’re not going to make the playoffs.

    Time to finally trade local
boy Mitch Marner possibly to the Senators for defensemen Thomas Chabot and Jakob Chychrun and hope the returning goalie Joseph Woll will be better between the pipes.

  2. None of the goals by Van in the 1st period was good says Anthony. ..can he be any homer than that lol, the Hoglander short side ripper was a wicked shot good goal, but no he insist that was not a good goal because it was not shot by a Pettersson or a Miller, but because it was shot by Hoglander he adamantly says it's not a good goal. Great analysis lol.

  3. I can't see anyone wanting to coach these soft players. It's so frustrating. They don't care to win. I just can't see a new coach making a difference. There whole roster needs a huge change

  4. You're talking as is Martin Jones was the number 1 choice all year and he's in his prime 🤷‍♀ maybe he's getting fatigued, mentally and physically, from being expected to clean up the awful defending and "save the day" every other game!

  5. Until the Leafs hate losing more than they like winning, this is what we'll have. Zero killer instinct in this team.

  6. If the NHL hadn't bailed you out in Calgary then you would be on a 7 straight losses streak

  7. Jd enough of the goalie talk. Leafs have average below.
The team need to play better infront off them. Want a better goalie. Buy one.

  8. Leafs get dominated in the 1st. “They just played bad” Canucks get dominated in the second “they’re not even good I wasn’t thinking there a problem” like what make it make renee🍺

  9. These 2 guys don't know much about hockey they're typical homer fans and it clouds their vision. Great teams win the moments when the game is on the line and the Canucks do that and the Leafs don't.
The Canucks are far better. They both have the superstars to match at forward but the Canucks have Hughes which gives them the edge but the Canucks have far better goaltending, much better depth forwards scoring and far more reliable defensemen and a better coach and systems it's not even close and the standings tell the complete truth for both teams.

  10. What's funny is the Canucks didn't even play very well especially the top line which they admitted including Demko but like great teams do on those nights they do what it takes when they need to.
The Leafs have holes everywhere and have no depth and their top star players carry them in their wins a team like that isn't going to go far it would take a miracle to win a few rounds lol.

  11. If Nylander, Marner or Matthews scored those first 3 goals all of you would be jumping on how amazing the are.

AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA. Can you please not be LEAFSNET for once in your lives?

  12. Typical comments from so-called experts from the Central Time Zone who don't watch the Canucks very much. Completely missed the point about the Canuck's depth. Umm… who got the Canucks up 3-0 when the Lotto Line was sleeping? Who scored the go-ahead goal to stem the Leafs' comeback? Sure, the stars on the PP won the game in the third, but it was the 3rd & 4th line of the Canucks that won the game for them (which, as we all know, is the key to going deep in the playoffs). Compare their effort to the Leafs' depth lines. I understand that this is "Leafs Talk", but you've got to understand why the game is won or lost.
