  1. To me, Perry is a great person to have incase of injury. He's probably going to play in our bottom 6 for now, but if one of our top were to be out for a few games Perry is more than capable of filling in. He brings a physicality that we need a little more of, and Oilers seems to do well with trouble makers like Kassian and Kane. Hes also a great one for getting in front of the net which is another thing that we could always use more of.

  2. So what exactly was the elephant in the room situation in Chitown? What did he do? Last week Kyper and Bourne were talking about Perry and they didn't even know what he did. Anybody know what he did?

  3. They've won 13 games in a row. Why do you want to mess with anything at this point? Corey Perry would be good sand paper for the playoffs, but until then, why mess up the chemistry the Oilers have right now?

  4. Withiut knowing why the hawks deopped him, not even trade him, I think its hard to know what effect this will have. If i was a player on the team Id demand to know why he was let go by the hawks.

  5. I don't like how the aquisition came about (termination from Chicago), but it was an appealing option for the Oilers given their lack of cap space.
Perry will be an accretive addition to bolster the 3rd or 4th line, add a playoff-experienced voice in the locker room and some forward toughess.
It will not fundamentally change the team, which is okay.
Given that Perry is RW, I thinkt the Oilers need to move Brown, somehow.

  6. I don’t know anything about the hockey or off-ice elements. My 2 cents for would be that Edmonton is a good place for a person like Perry. Chicago is a gigantic flashy city. Edmonton is humbling and sobering. I bet Perry will focus and reset. Plus, with the maturity we see in Ekholm, Ryan, McDavid, Hyman, and the example in Kane, the best of Perry can grow
    Let’s see 🔥
