As an Avs fan I'm happy to see Roy coaching in the league again. Wish him all success with the Islanders
I think Roy is gonna do some good things in New York and surprise a lot of people. He's got some talent to work with, a great goaltender. Wouldn't surprise me if he finds a way to drag the Isles into the postseason.
These Islanders are more talented than the two teams that made those runs under Trotz. It's nice to have a real coach again. The Flyers have benefitted greatly from Torts being hired. Now the isles can finally play better than the sum of their parts, the way it's supposed to be as opposed to running around like headless chickens.
