1. God damn it LA is going to hire another Oilers head coach and hire Woodcroft. It would actually be a really good fit, since he beat LA 2 years in a row. Shit this kind of worries me as an Oilers fan.

  2. I like the move they did last night moving PLD. I think line change was one issue but the other issue the Kings are looking for the pass and not taking the puck to the net. Seems like during this losing streak Kings aren't driving the net which is costing them scoring opportunities. Plus moving Byfield to the third may have him flourish more, given that he won't be playing against top line defense pairings. We will see it goes for the next few games. Next big question is where you slate Arvidssen once he comes back in three weeks?

  3. PLD scored over 360 points on the top lines before he got here….he is only 25. It's time to put up or shut up. Play him on the top line.

  4. Rittich had a great camp coming into the season. So far he has been pretty solid despite the fact the players aren't giving their goalies much goal support lately.

I have a positive vibe that Rittich can hold down the fort as a comperable back up.

  5. Was at the Kings game vs the Rangers…..PLD was lazy. Twice he tried to get to the bench early and was told to stay on the ice. He refused to engage in any puck battles on the boards. He looks completely lost on the ice, probably because he is always trying to avoid contact with opposing players. He completely dragged down the Kopi/Kempe line. The Byfield line was the best line vs the Rangers. PLD is a bust.

  6. Dude, you couldn’t be more wrong. I’m a huge Kings fan and can verify that PLD has indeed lived up to the Pretty Large Disappointment that most of us feared he would be for the franchise. His play is nothing short of lazy and uninspired. He doesn’t battle for pucks, half asses it on the backcheck, doesn’t go into the dirty areas nearly enough, and his passes are consistently into Laferriere’s skates. If you saw the game Saturday you would attest that he was a non-factor in a close game.
As for JAD, first it’s Anderson-Dolan, not “Dolan.” Second, the guy is a career minor leaguer who was chosen way too early- only because Robitaille liked the kid’s family tree.
