  1. Torts is the new babcock but in a good way, i truly think he might be one of if not the best coach in hockey rn he always gets the best of his team no matter how bad they are

  2. I'm dizzy from watching the Leafs. And not in a good way. Management doesn't seem to know what they are doing. And it shows on the ice. They have a serious problem with defense and they are just not doing anything about it. It's disillusioning the forwards and the goalies. If they could get their defense together, they'd be a powerhouse. If only…
I am very surprised that the team of 2 years ago is still here.

  3. Most surprising in a shocking way the Edmonton Oilers of the first 15 or so games of the season being tied for last after losing to the Sharks. Then the most surprising team in a good way the same Oilers as they've been the best team in the last 20 plus game fighting their way back into a playoff spot and being much closer to first overall than last.

  4. I think NJ has been a disappointment. They could still make playoffs of course, but they were projected to win the metro and be a dominant team.

  5. IMO the blue jackets screwed themselves by signing babcock. He had a reputation of being toxic, yet they ignored it. Then the situation happened around training camp and he had to quit. It puts a damper on the team, now having to adjust to a new coach in a short amount of time. Not to mention it’s a young team.

  6. I feel like Toronto hasn't been great lately. 3rd in the division and has been blowing leads like crazy.

  7. Most surprising to me is the Jets. I’m a Stars fan, so obviously I keep up the central the most, I thought the Jets would sneak into that WC2 at best. They’ve proved me so wrong I want to put on the clown makeup. I knew it’d be three teams in the central towards first but I thought it would be Minnesota not Winnipeg. Good for the Jets, they’re playing lights out, that defense is insane, Hellebuyck is a Vezina contender, the depth is crazy. I’ve never disliked them, in fact if anyone was going to carry the central divisions flag besides the Stars, I’d root for Winnipeg, and they have Bowness who I still have nothing but the utmost respect for as a Stars fan. There’s a lot to like in Winnipeg. Just well done all around.

  8. Just to be honest here, for the Ottawa Senators, the number of games didn't help at all, Rest of the teams played more games than Ottawa Senators, how is that fair

  9. For me, Buffalo & Ottawa so disappointing. Both could have been WC teams if they caught some breaks. Seeing Ottawa in the tankathon yet again is shocking.

  10. With Montour and Ekblad missing the start of the season I never thought Florida could find the success they have so far. I also didn't see Reinhart coming

  11. Sens certainly are dissappointing the effort night to night has been terrible this season and now with a new coach actually telling them they werent trying every night under DJ Smith there seems to be some resistance but they definitely needed the wakeup call of Smith getting fired and a new coach teaching them a proper work ethic just gitta work towards next season at this point I dont think the roster is that bad just players being lazy far too often and DJ letting them do whatever they wanted essentially

  12. Korpisalo has gotten even better lol hes now worst in goals saved above expected at least they promoted the Belleville Sens goalie coach Justin Peters whose done very well this season with all 3 goalie prospects the Sens have in the AHL

  13. Everybody always doing my Jets dirty,

How did you seriously get Craig Berube from Rick Bowness?????

edit: I already saw the pinned comment before i commented

  14. Canucks PDO is a bit of a misleading point. They are 4th for GA in the league, so you could shave off a huge % of their goals and they'd still be a top team. They are defensively better than anyone expected, and all their top players are playing like top players.

  15. Im biased as a wings fan, but their offense is miles ahead of where i thought they’d be going into this year. I expected improvement, but not to this level. Defense & goaltending have been very underwhelming, but if they can improve to just average in those units, while having the top scoring offensive unit in the Eastern Conference, they could sneak into the playoffs & hell, maybe even make a run.

  16. I hate to burst the Jets bubble but they had 59 points at this point last year. I am also surprised they are repeating what they did last year from a success standpoint. Hopefully they don't collapse like last season.

  17. Do the Vancouver Canucks have the best starting lineup in the NHL?

What starting six matches Petterson, Miller, Boeser, Hughes, Hronek and Demko? None I can think of.

  18. Given how ludicrously high like half of the Canucks’ shooting% is right now, it’s going to be fun when they make the playoffs and can’t score and every couch gm cries that “they were so good”. No, they’re statistically playing WAY over their head. If you want to cheer for a Canadian team, Winnipeg is a better bet across the board.

  19. I wonder if the CBJ regrets making such a big deal about Babcock’s conduct…. Maybe if he were coaching they’d be better

  20. I just don't want the Canucks to win the President's trophy. We all know what happened the last time.

  21. Coyotes are surprisingly good probably won’t make playoffs but they added some solid defensive players and some of their young guys are showing up (maccelli, Ingram, Cooley)

  22. Petey and Hughes are tired of losing Miller has been since halfway through last season. Tocchet and co hold team accountable. Demko shuts the door….this is the combination this franchise needs.

  23. i’m so happy about my flyers right now we have a bright future with mitchov coming in a few years having more prospect coming in and etc

  24. Did anyone else notice that the chapter tab said “Aegon I made up the prophecy”? Is OhNyquist a House of the Dragon/Game of Thrones guy???

  25. Im not surprised by Ottawa, I predicted they would miss the playoffs. Their fowards don't backcheck and their goaltending isn't good.

  26. As a SENS fan, I'm mildly depressed. That being said, I knew they were not going to progress this year because Ottawa has not – and still does not – have any team identify. Nothing. Seriously. Nothing. I would sooner see them hire a new coach and work on structure for the remainder of the year so they can start off strong next year, like Vancouver did last year. Blah.
