Lors d’une pénalité retardée contre l’Arizona, Pittsburgh a intentionnellement tué le temps en amenant la rondelle dans son propre camp avant que Kris Letang ne la passe à Evgeni Malkin et ne se mette à marquer sur lui-même dans une terrible erreur. Alors que Sidney Crosby a marqué son 577e but pour égaler Mark Recchi au 21e rang de tous les temps, c’était un match à oublier ! I have been screaming for Sullivan's removal as head coach for years. And Letang really is stupid with the puck sometimes, more giveaways than anyone in history I think but he really undid himself with that idiotic pass to Malkin. The team was so filled with so much hope, getting Karlsson and so forth but even if they make the post season, forget making any real impact, probably get knocked out the first round, AGAIN.
Sully is doing a fine job, but we're the exact same team as last season. We need a drastic identity change, and that can't happen without a coaching change
Not a power play, but I remember the Caps scored on themselves on a delayed penalty last year against the Wild. Marcus Foligno got credited with the goal despite not having touched the puck for like 20 seconds

What was even more bizarre about this game was the entire arena was mainly pens fans. Like the majority. How the hell does Arizona even have a team without an active ticket buying fanbase exactly? Are they keeping the lights on with Mexican cartel money, a similar situation to the KHL clubs?
How does Sullivan keep his job? Looks like Pens need to start breaking up the big 3.(I can't believe I'm saying that) Modern game seems to think it's OK to make plays in front of your own net. Not a good idea.
I find it ironic that this happens after Malkin said himself he's not playing the game the way he thinks he should. Sad stuff

NGL that was one of the dumbest plays by letang right there. I get it that malkin was trying to get the puck, but jesus, a guy is right on you and you want to do a backhand pass behind you to a guy who was in line of your net and moving in the opposite direction of you. What a dumbass play by two guys who have the foot on cruise control.
Will be fun if 'Yotes make it to the finals, and have their home games at Mullett Arena! (Though I would imagine Bettman would step in alongside the team and pay the City of Glendale to use Desert Diamond before THAT ever happened).
