I like the change in head coaches, my question is what took so long? The problem with the isles is quite simple: a lack of top tier talent and too many players that don't really do much ( passengers )
Knights are Cup champs but not playing like Cup champs. Tonight's game very winnable as well as MTL on Thursday. It would be great to win 3 out of 4 or 4/4 before the AS break. These 4 games will be used by Roy to understand what he's got with the roster. Then he can begin installing his systems on return from the break.
I know this wasn't mentioned… but I thought I'd get my thought out.
Imo really like the fact that nobody else besides barzal is in the all-star game.
After hiring Roy everyone including Dobson could use the work over the break,I do think he got screwed not being voted in. But at the same time, I feel like it a blessing in disguise that him, or anyone to not be in the all star game
I’ve said this to other Islanders channels I’d love to go to a game with you, or anyone on here, but no one ever answers me. I’ve never been able to see the Islanders in their home ice. I lived near Buffalo but never got to go see them play against the Sabres. Let me know I’ll pay for all my own stuff ticket trip and all would just love to watch a game with other Islanders fans. Roy is the change that was needed. Louzers hail mary to save the season. If louzer can't help roy out and get the needed offensive punch for playoff push then the hammer needs to come down on louzer next. Hopefully after watching this stagnant offense roy will demand that out of louzer. The pk should get better now. And bye bye appleby and his .744 sv. %.

Good morning team. Thanks again, Gil for another excellent show. I can always count on you. Looking forward to this game against Vegas. They are having their struggles and are primed for the Islanders to take 2 from them. My go to is, if the Caps can beat them, I'm positive we can too. Still need to play the game with sound hockey. Play good defense, find the back of the net with our scoring chances, excellent PK, stay out of the penalty box, and capitalize on our man advantage. I too am excited Roy is our new coach. Great tribute to the one of the nicest athletes and human being I’ve ever met. He was truly one of a kind and I’m not referring to his hockey prowess. He was the perfect example (for me) on how to conduct yourself as a man, husband and father!
I’m glad they made the change with the coach but do you think that some of the problems are some of the players? bc there’s some players I’d get rid of like Mayfield, Martin, Pageau, Aho idk do you think I’m wrong with some of those choices?

Gm Gil. I think most importantly he is going to make them accountable. When you see Anders Lee/Scott Mayfield/Noah Dobson take a stupid penalty he won't have that stupid grin because of what that act is going to be met with when they return to the bench.
Hi Gil! Great show! To me, it feels like the Season began all over again! I’m really excited about Roy!! I feel if our Isles can win all their games before the all star game and we have a spot, we won’t relinquish it. After the All Star break, new system should begin to get implemented. If they get executed properly and we get a sniper of sorts——I can honestly say—-we can make a Cup run!! All depends on how this new system will be executed and I trust Roy. Gil, to me it’s about pure respect. These players respect Roy. Above all, no other coach will try to “Embarrass us”. Our Ny Islanders now have respect back in the NHL!! Let’s run the table before the break!! We’re back!! It feels real good. We’re in great hands boys. Hats off to the ol man—-he finally did the right thing—-now go get a scorer for our 1st line!! Vegas lost to the Devs—-jump on them from the get go!!
Here's what bothers me. That Lane was even considered for the job. With absolutely no merit whatsoever. That Lou didn't even bother making any calls to coaches home on the couch so to speak. Even if Trotz suggested Lane to replace him. It's just blows my mind that they could make crucial mistakes with the future of the team. Now I'm glad we have Roy but, imagine if he was here at the beginning of the year? Everyone but Lou knew a long time ago Lane wasn't the man.
