  1. Terry has stepped up in the past cuz he had to, thankfully some Getzlaf rubbed off on him. McTavish is my pick for Captain, the prince who was promised. Let Leo settle in a bit, we can't have a captain playing half the games. I agree, blow up the team and finish this rebuild. I think Gibson will willingly go to a cup contender for returns for the team. He's probably the biggest trade bait we have. Sucks we're stuck with Killorn, I hope he figures things out real quick. Hopefully Henrique and Vatrano give us a pretty good haul too. We still have lots of cap. Still have great prospects coming up. Own up to the current state of affairs Verbeek, blow it up at the trade deadline.

  2. What the GM needs to do and the Cronin needs to do are different, but they both TALK about playing tougher. So far, nada. You don’t have to be 6’4” to drive the net and battle for pucks (see Marchand 5’9” scrapper). This team is ALWAYS looking for that beauty shot top corner with no skill forwards other than Vatrano willing to take a hit to get a better chance. This post could go on forever about soft players, but as the coach he needs to set objectives about toughness for the players (not fights). Like Fowler needs credit for 2 hits a game. The forwards need a tip and rebound chance every game. 6 SOG all saved is a terrible stat when it’s just routine for an NHL goalie.
BTW I saw a replay discussion of the Toronto game and their feed has MPH on shots. Fowler skated in and drilled a slapper (the one Vatrano jumped over). His full power slap shot was 84.9 mph. Didn’t Gudas shoot one over 107 this year? Fowler: get in the gym you are embarrassing yourself.

  3. Much better than braindead hivemind mentality of Twitter and reddit. Although I haven't been on those for years. Subbed

  4. coming to this post-drysdale trade… oof. will we get a followup video of some kind? seems like the ducks have someone who can keep on pace with zegras' playmaking finally – at the cost of a guy who was touted as one of the faces of the rebuild. we live in strange times!

  5. what do you think about gudas? I think he got a bit of that follow me vibe but unfortunately he is too much of a goon and disrespectful, or is it just me

  6. One thing that killed the Ducks this year were the injuries. On any given night they were without three of their top six forwards. That would kill most of the teams and the Ducks weren't exemption

  7. Last time I checked, hockey was a team game. This piece is more a defence of one player who is perfect than insightful analysis of an entire organization. Patience is the road to success. Yes, there must be structure and a game plan to follow. But the “win now” at all costs guarantees mediocrity. Be a fan through thick and thin and remember Teemu et al

  8. Only dumb people believe that by giving a C to a player is going to change anything when the team is not actually working as a unit

  9. Well said. Finally Someone says what all think the Ducks need. We all see it…the guys who are in office to make these decision need to be held accountable. Bring the right leadership back to Anaheim. And get rid of Fowler and Brown.

  10. I think we should try maybe an NHL coach and stop going to the AHL for coaching pretty soon we’re going to end up with a OHL coach or somebody from the KHL or maybe a college coach I don’t know what they have against NHL coaches now. 😂I’ve been saying Killorn was overpaid….twice his highest salary.

  11. Well, at least Drysdale is lighting it up as Philadelphia, traded for a player that’s never played in the NHL again thank you. Verbeek
