This is not the save of the year. Many goalies have made better saves. Just because this guy was an AHL goalie weeks ago and plays for the leafs (non playoff team) doesn’t mean it’s save of the year. Weak post OP. Super weak post.

Lowry and Barron. Not the most offensively gifted players, but still wild. Samsanov didn’t hard commit to any of the passes. Great goaltending.

Definitely not even close to save of the year…. More of a fumble by the jets than anything. Looks like they were surprised to get a 2 on 0 during a 5 on 3 and just mailed in that chance. It was a free goal Samsonov took away from the jets but will be completely forgotten when compared with other save of the year contenders.
