Outside of his shitty play, I wonder if this means they feel good about the way chytil came back from czechia

  2. Chosenone217

He’s cooked, but appreciate his blocked shots and faceoff help

  3. the_mair

The Bonino Bonino Bonino goal was cool but can’t exactly say the on ice product will be missed

  4. SportingWallaby

Thank god. It feels like drury has been asleep at the wheel, finally something happens

    Thanks for everything Nicky Bones

  6. JPmoneyman

Chytil must be close! Also seems Brodz earned his role with the Rangers.

  7. silverSparkle

I feel bad for him and honestly all the vets on our team. They were never meant to play as much as they did, and fans are absolutely shitting on them for it. TY for finally getting us good at faceoffs

  8. Formisonic

Whaaaaat? I would have never guessed Lavs would sign off on this. Make room for Ruzicka??

  9. lamb_ch0p

This feels like the part of Moneyball where Brad Pitt trades the rookie first baseman so the manager will stop putting him in the lineup

He did his duty here. That’s what’s great about $800k contracts, when they don’t work out you waive them and move on.

Well there you go everyone lol Bonino was in over Pitlick because they were giving him a chance to prove that he’s worth more than a bag of pucks. Drury’s annual cook is starting.

Doesn’t mean he’ll get picked up by someone right? If so, what happens then?

  13. DrFrocktopus

Hopefully he can get some rest in a lower pace league. I’m not as down on him as a lot of people here are and I think we’ll need his defensive ability in the playoffs.

Simple fact is he was brought in to for 4th line defensive starts and PK and he was asked to step up into a 3C role which he doesn’t have the capability to be any more. That’s not on him especially when a guy like Goodrow was brought in to be a mid 6 utility player for exactly this kind of occasion.

  14. I was worried Lav had some kind of loyalty towards him despite the terrible metrics. Glad to see that’s not the case and they see what we all see. Guy worked his ass off and sacrificed himself and I’ll always respect him for that, but he just doesn’t have much more in him apparently

  15. This is good

But if this means Leschyshyn is in the lineup, then it’s basically a wash

If it means Pitlick is in though, now we are cooking

I like seeing Drury make this move now. Bonino served his purpose, but there’s no spot for him if everyone is healthy.

Never forget Sam’s famous call: « You want me to do it? »

if he gets claimed, the BBP (Bonino Block Party) will be remembered

BONINO, BONINO, BONINO, BONINO, NICK BONINOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  18. dumberthenhelooks

It’s the right move. I’d be surprised if he didn’t pass through to Hartford.

  19. Mazzatti1

I think this isn’t just about bonino. Got to be about his money too. Drury has something cooking in the trade world.

  20. LemonHayes13

Much respect to Bonino. Guy has nothing left to prove yet came in, played hard, and consistently sacrificed his body to block shots.

  21. jkman61494

As someone who advocated for Bonino for years, we got him when it was too late. The dude used to be amazing at faceoffs but he wasn’t holding up his end of the bargain on that even.

Dudes gonna be a coach and a good one soon.

  22. Unlikely_Good7733

This sucks! I just bought a Bonino jersey!

Next goes Wheeler? Hopefully when we acquire a compitable RW/C?
