  1. That buy out must have been crazy if the Minnesota Vikings are paying him 😆

  2. This is the same kind of deal like when the Avs acquired Cogliano at the deadline. It doesn't push you over the edge, but it does raise your resiliency to injury

  3. Thanks for putting this together so quickly, I appreciate what you guys do! I think we address the goalie issue closer to the trade deadline. I think it's taking longer than expected because they're looking for another goalie to be 1b and not simply a backup. I also think Parise is going to be a good depth move and not another Tatar 2.0…but we shall see! 🤞🏾😬

  4. Gents, I like your show quite a bit so I hope you won't take as any kind of ill-intentioned criticism but Chris, mate, you talk too much. Give Kyle some space. Cheers!

  5. it's a zero risk move for the Avs. For now I would expect him to slot in on the wing with RyJo and Lehky and put Cogs back on the fourth line. Once Val gets back then he probably slides down to the fourth line as well, or maybe even not in the lineup every night. If it's a complete flop then they can waive him and bury the money in Loveland and still have that cap space.

This was only the first of what I assume will be several more moves they make over the next 6-7 weeks. It is insanely difficult to make trades in the NHL, especially this year since almost every team is right up against the cap it's difficult to make the money work out.

  6. We still ended up with a free fourth round pick coming out of the Tatar signing

  7. With available roster space, this doesn't hurt and as depth piece he has a higher ceiling. If doesn't work, you can always refund Avs' "misery," (a quote for Love Guru, lol) MacDermd. It's good that the Avs can find good health competition up and down the line up. It might push the younger guys to step up and it didn't cost assets. He'll be penciled in as the 10 forward and I think , he know he has to earn it.
