L’autre jour, je regardais un match et j’ai vu quelque chose que je n’avais jamais vu auparavant. Je voulais le chercher mais je ne l’ai pas trouvé dans les règles. Les Bruins étaient en avantage numérique et l’autre équipe a envoyé la rondelle directement au gardien de but des Bruins qui a couvert la rondelle et l’a gelée. L’annonceur a déclaré que parce que le gardien de but avait gelé la rondelle, les Bruins ne pouvaient pas changer, mais il a même mentionné qu’aucun d’entre eux ne devrait être fatigué puisque le changement venait tout juste de commencer. Je n’avais jamais entendu cette règle et je me demandais si je l’avais mal entendue ou quoi. Quelqu’un pourrait-il faire la lumière à ce sujet ? J’aimerais lire la règle si quelqu’un a un lien vers celle-ci. Merci! It may have been icing because the goalie was deemed to be not under pressure and a teammate was within range for them to get the puck to.
I’ve seen it a few times. It’s to try to get the players to keep the play moving.
If it’s shot in from the far side of the red line, aka icing under normal circumstances, but the goalie decides to cover and freeze it, that team’s players can’t change.
Also, if the goalie makes an attempt to play the puck on what would’ve been an icing call, the icing is negated.

It’s not icing, one of the new rules from 2019 is if you dump the puck on net from behind the red line, iff the goalie freezes the puck you can’t change your lines.
I’ve never heard of the line change thing but the Bruins goalie could have been given a minor penalty for delay of game if he wasn’t under pressure when he froze the puck.

Seems like it’s because the shot came from beyond the red line. The rule came in in 2019.
