You miss the most obvious thing, THG. Ottawa needs defense. Chabot and Chychrun are not performing up to expectations. Sanderson is so overrated and will be overpaid next season. I stand by that it was a bad extension when the Senators signed him to do that ridiculous contract. The forwards can't stop anything if their life depended on it. To put it all on goaltending is very short sighted

Ottawa is one of the 2 or 3 teams I've followed most closely over the years. I've always liked them. Why? Well, anyone can follow the good teams, but the lousy ones are always more interesting, which is also why I like to follow the Islanders. Like Tolstory said, “All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.”

A possibility in the Sens coaching situation, they may chose to ask Jacques to stay another season giving Alfie time to mature to the head coach position. He does seem to be turning the team around. Martin St.Louis was originally hired as an Interim coach. The owner did state he wanted to build a tradition with past players involved in team operations. However my guess is just has uninformed as most fans.😄

It's been a rough 7 years (and counting) to be a Sens fan. There are positive signs from the organization (new owner saying all the right things, arena deal sounding close, steadying hand of Jacques Martin behind the bench) and I hope this is the start of the upswing.

Just watched the 2017 playoff run highlights. Its been far too long since we sens fans have experienced such intense incredible moments and younger sens fans havnt experienced it at all yet. Hopefully they can give our younger fans such monents soon.
