Currently I’d say Phil Grubbauer is my favorite because he played for my local ECHL team and my bears. All time probably would be Luongo.

Once again, Kolzig and his ‘Zilla mask.

Cujo (and my old man) are the reason I am an oilers fan.
I was 4, my dad took me to a game, he knew a video guy on the oilers and we managed to get into the room after a game.
Cujo got pulled and my dad’s buddy warned us, he might not be in the best mood. Cujo was my favourite player and he agreed to speak to us for 3 or 4 minutes.
Despite having a tough game, he was a model professional. He took a picture with me, signed like a little fake goalie stick (mini stick type thing) let me wear his blocker, glover and helmet next to him for a photo.
Asked me how I was doing. Apparently I blurted out if I was coach, I’d only play him/never pull him lol. (I think Ron Low was the guy at the time)
In all of 3-4 minutes he had turned me from a Cujo fan, to an oiler fan for life.
TLDR: Cujo is the best and has one of the classic designs.

I’ll mention a mask that hasn’t been said yet, Manny Fernandez
If we were to make a Mount Rushmore of goalie masks, I’d say that three of the spots would be reserved for Cujo, Eddie the Eagle, and Brian Hayward’s original Shark mask. Not sure who would go in as #4, but it’s pretty much impossible to discuss goalie masks without those three being in the conversation.

Ed Belfour, hands down – love how he adapted the same design for each team he played for.
Scott Wedgewood has had some great masks in a different, yet fun way in his time on the Stars too (TMNT & now Mario Kart).
