Jets always have a short playoff run cause Cheve-junk always selects mediocre players at the trade deadline. How many cups have the Jets won?! Exactly, start trading for legit players. Also, this year the team has demonstrated that they could go deep in the playoffs, reward them.

Leafs have a grand total of 4 prospects with nhl potential, they'd be idiots to unload any of them.
Trade minten if that’s what it takes to get something we need. Nobody should be untouchable
Long suffering Leaf fans deserve more than next year, next year, next year. 50 years of that has worn out. If there is any chance of making any kind of run in the playoffs they owe it to the fans to take it. Prospects are just that , prospects with no guarantee they ever become anything. Make a few adjustments with added bodies and take your best shot. The current top talent won't be that forever. Ride them now.
Tanev is not that good. He’s at about the level of McCabe or a little worse and much older and injury prone. We got Shenn last year for a 3rd round pick. Thats about going rate for stay at home defence at the deadline.
this Leafs team is NOT the team you gamble the future on for a "shot" to win the cup – NO. I'd rather the Leafs just stay put and not make a move at all if it comes to that.
