  1. Luckily vegas has a nine day break too, so hopefully we won't notice both teams may have lost momentum

  2. I Happened to be in Vegas for there next game. I just Had to get tickets. So pumped. Gonna put $100 bucks on Vegas to win that way I can’t lose lmao

  3. 😄🇨🇦nobody likes a outside source to interrupt momentum however this rest may be tough on the league going forward 🇨🇦🇺🇸

  4. I think the break the Oilers get does benefit them more than it does harm. Sure chemistry and momentum factors could make them rusty, but every other team is getting a break during the All-star week. The thing that really sells it for me is what video tape are the VGK going to look at? Knoblauch has switched the forward lines 3 times during this streak with the most recent being the McHyDrai top heavy line. Perry is a new addition who can slot in the second line if he wants.

  5. When the oilers go on a long break after winning, it usually doesnt knock the momentum out of their sails. If they lose badly and go on on a break like in between seasons for example, it basically guarantees starting slow and needing 2-3 games to not look like their heads are screwed on backwards. FULL STEAM AHEAD BOYS!!!

  6. If the Oilers offense (when) becomes 75% of last year and the current defense stays at 75% of this year, the Stanley Cup is going to Edmonton. They are playing otherwordly since Nov.

  8. Man, imagine is prime ovi got to play in this high scoring Era. How many of his 50 goal seasons would have e been 70 goal seasons.

  9. A break that long is good for no team the body changes after a change in activity flow one day off 1 on ect sad I dont think they will beat vegas on the sixth of course time will tell and I hope they prove me wrong

  10. On a hotter topic. Oilers are 5 games behind most of the teams in the league. Making them one of the top 3 if we win those games and it seems entirely possible. Not to mention that we’ve had 2 bi weeks during both streaks this season alone and not only did it help them recover and injuries heal, they smashed all these records. Let’s hope they can cont going!

  11. I think this 9-day break benefits Vegas more because of their injuries. But Edmonton's got this.
    Th8s could be a 20+ win streak.

  12. I’ll go for the Oilers question.

Can they? Yes. Will they? I don’t expect them to be buzzing like they are now after a break.

I believe the players will take the time they need to relax and reset but also then focus on being as ready as they can.

They’ll bang out some practices, get a groove going and may have a good shot at winning. But they won’t be buzzing as they are now right away.

Maybe in the 3rd at the earliest is my guess if they can get back to the current frame of mind. They were playing so tight again like the playoffs at times each game on these streaks.

Like look at the powerplay on Nuge’s goal last night. Elite. That’s something that doesn’t turn on like a switch. It’s something they work up to. Breaks can hinder that synchronicity and timing. But I don’t think they’ll be far off it.

  13. looking good gene. remember you from the old TSN days. The rest will help refresh and refocus themselves, there gonna get 20 or more wins.

  14. Regardless of its good or bad. It’s necessary. The Oil have a ton of games to close the season out.

  15. I think Edmonton goes for 20. Matthews hits 70. And McDavid pulls off an all-time comeback and wins his 6th Scoring Title.

  16. With the B I G T’rana All-Star hoopla upon us, let’s celebrate that 5️⃣7️⃣ year streak ‼️🎉 🎈

    🇨🇦

  17. While watching this team during the Columbus and Nashville game it’s clear they needed a break more than anything. I’m not concerned about the break at all because they usually do incredible after breaks anyway

  18. The Oilers have a 36 Games in 72 Days grind coming up with 6 Back to Backs!!!….A few Days off can not possibly be a bad thing for them now.
