I stand by them getting rid of Vilardi. He has done nothing but complain about LA and the fans since he got traded. Then he bitched and moaned about getting injured. Fuck that guy, I don’t care how well he is doing. PLD deal sucks, though. I wish we got a goalie instead.

This won’t make Kings fans feel better, but to reel in my brethen from edmonton (including myself).
PLD cap is 8.5m approximately 10.1% of the cap.
We signed horcoff in 2009 for 5 years at 5.5m which is 9.5% of the cap then (56.8m). This was four years after he showed us he was in fact not the player he looked one year in 2005 (73 pts riding Hemsky and Smyth’s coat-tails)
I am all for dunking on the kings, but having watched a lot of horcoff, id still rather have PLD.
Horcoff never scored more than 53 pts, aside from the one year he got 73 in a regular season.
Everytune PLD has played more than 60 games, he has scored 48, 61, 49, 60, 63.
Its been inconsistent, thats kind of been the read on him, hes still better then that.
What have I acheived by barking these numbers? Maybe PLD is just shawn horcoff after inflation. I don’t know. PLD is also going to get like 50-60 pts this year.
Is he over paid? Yes sir.
Will it fuck up LAK cap plans? Yup.
Do most teams have a swing and a miss like this on their roster? You bet. Campbell, Gallagher, Huberdaeu, Vlasic, Johansen (preds must be washing their eyes with salt lol), Barrie was a scratch last night. NSH must be thinking man, if we could use that 8million between those two, we’d be cooking with gas right now.
Was he worth the risk? (Big young centre with hands). Yes.
Will other teams try it again? Depends if he ever gets bought out (lol).
Again, « we have seen this one. » It’s not just you, its not just edmonton, its everyone lol.
HA! Maybe we’ll see you in the playoffs next year. Really hopefully not the first round tho.
