  1. This man will win the jack adams award. Everyone knew that edmonton was a good team and would bounce back from their rough start. But to take over an already great team and continue to elevate them…its more impressivethan toccet and vancouvers turn around.

  2. Pittsburgh went from last to new coach (Mike Sullivan) hot streak in Dec/Jan and won the Cup. STL went from last and then new coach (Craig Berube) hot streak in dec/jan to win the cup. Oilers went from last and then new coach (Knoblauch) in dec/jan hot streak….so guess who is going to win the cup this year? I'm too smart for this. I hate being right all the time.

  3. honestly, if the oilers have learnt how to defend properly, they might’ve become a legitimate threat for the cup

  4. If there was a picture in the dictionary beside the phrase "making the most of your opportunity" Knoblauch's stoic portrait would be that picture. Consider the impossible situation that Knoblauch was thrown into. The coach with the Oiler's best winning percentage in the team's history fired, all of pro sports media pegged the Oilers to win the Stanley Cup, in the very least make the finals, the team was one foot away from crashing on the ground from a dead drop at 35,000 ft owning every statistic no NHL franchise wants to own. If Knoblauch didn't make the most of his opportunity and turned the Oilers season around, even though he was literally thrown into the Roman Colosseum staring down a pack of hungry lions from day 1, it may be fair to say Knoblauch would have never coached in the NHL again. Congratulations Kris on all your success and everything you've done for the Edmonton Oilers.

  5. Yeah Knoblauch has been fantastic, but God damn it, give Paul Coffey his due as well. He's helped our lower lines shut-up shop and our defencemen to be more productive on the puck. I love his idea of having the defensive team all sitting together.
