  1. This is actually the exact spot I was predicting they’d be ranked at. I’m really hoping the rebuild is over soon.

  2. Zegras will be fine. He’s adjusting to new system and learning to be more responsible defensively. His overall play has been better than ever and points will follow eventually.

  3. Okay I'm getting nervous, why isn't Buffalo on this list yet?! That 10-game winning streak in 2018 really drag them up that much?!

  5. Apart from the whole winning aspect, and especially in a rebuild hockey is about putting butts in seats. Zebras puts butts in seats, so I don’t think they will trade him. I also think once he balances his O and D he will be fine.

  6. You started your channel during their last good season. Perfect timing.

Anyway, they should get their next cup on the 20th anniversary of their only cup. Ducks’ cup in 2027

  7. Super excited for this team in the years to come. Loved the Drysdale for Gauthier trade and so many good young players coming soon. Just need the current roster to stay healthy.

  8. Zegras needs another year. Slow start then he gets hurt, comes back and starts to get some points and then gets hurt again. It's going to be a non-year for him and we move on. I obviously want the Ducks to win (I'm a fan) but I do also have fun during this down time of seeing the young guys get a chance. They can play spoiler too. I mean they have defeated the Knights 2 out of 3 times this year.

  9. Zegras is a wonder when he scores a Michigan. That doesn't happen very often. Beyond that he is pretty average at best. There's a lot of hype about his potential, but so far, not impressed with his game.

  10. I remember when the ducks were one of the best teams in the league, but could never get past the second round. California was a death sentence between 2010-2017.

  11. Rumor is both Drysdale and Zegras pulled groin muscles after joining training camp late after finally getting contracts, because the coaches pushed them too hard too soon. Zegras was playing hurt, then went on IR, came back and looked great.

The Ducks have a lot of talented skilled players coming up, but the GM seems bent on SIZE with little concern about skill (see every 6’5” player that can’t score gets to be a Duck eventually). The GM and the prospects are not a good match.

Instead of filling the roster with the identity of creative skilled players we have at least one stone handed male model on each line. The GM needs to get over his fantasies of fielding a volleyball team and get the best available players.

  12. I think the controversial goal take back late in the third against Florida on Nov 17th really hurt the young squads moral. They won 9 out of 11 heading up to that game then lost 10 out of 11 after that game. They probably would have been able to keep more of a run going for longer. There have also been a lot of 1 goal game losses this season where they can't maintain quality of play to get a W. The last 7 games since Jan 15th really highlight this. To me this a young team that hasn't got the mental toughness game figured out yet.

  13. I wish they would go back to the Mighty Ducks. The jersey you are wearing as 3rd alternate with the teal as their main color jersey with a white and teal as the other jersey. The burgondy or maroon color is so, so ugly. That being said, I think of the first 4 teams, they have the most potential, but it will come down to defense and goaltending. Figuring that out in this new NHL of fast skating and 2 line passes without there being generational goalies out there nearly as much as 10 or 15 or more years ago is so key.

  14. Right before the collapse, the Ducks had five straight Pacific division titles and two visits to the Conference Finals – including one that went the full seven games against the eventual Cup-winning Blackhawks in 2015. Tough to see the Ducks fall so hard into the bottom of the standings. Hope they can bounce back in the coming years.
