  1. I believe in the young core we have. If we recognize that this re-tool is actually a re-build, then we are already 2 or 3 years into it. There is no need to "tear it all down" because we are already getting high draft picks at the bottom of the standings. The important thing IMO is simply to change the leadership above and commit to the young core we have and keep adding to that.

  2. I live in Columbus. This city was so electric when the Tampa sweep happened. Praying this team gets back to that level soon. But you are right they need a legitimate plan.

  3. Hey love your videos. Quick question, where did you get your puck board for power rankings? I've been wanting something to display my pucks. Thanks!!

  4. Agree there’s a lack of identity..and it doesn’t need to be that way. It’s a community with fanbase in what is seen as a smaller market. Jarmo has never really stuck with evolving a team identity..instead swinging and signing high end players and continually filling out roster with young players from prospect pipeline.

In the time I have followed the Jackets..2015 All Star game..they have had quite a few really good players but then they get traded and no one replaces so you just sense a void. Seth Jones moved on. Josh Anderson. Oliver Bjorkstrand. Cam Atkinson. Sometimes they have gotten good players at trade deadline but then don’t resign them.

Find myself looking at all the players I enjoyed watching in Columbus play elsewhere. In the Cap era this is the way it often is..yet can’t help feeling this team would have a better situation if they filled in with veterans other teams can’t afford. Instead of signing Laine and Gaudreau..neither is really a locker room presence or captain. Gaudreau is worth his contract if ownership builds this team and generates a mix of veteran players to go with the young guys. But at this point no cap space. There was a lot of cap space when Panarin didnt stay.

  5. That Babcock hiring needed to be the final nail in the coffin of all the management staff. They should've been all fired the second they even considered it, or at the absolute latest, the second it inevitably backfired. If the upper management still keeps their jobs after this miserable turd of a season, I don't even know what to say. They hate competence and winning, I guess?

  7. As a Blue Jackets fan, I have a couple things I think need to be addressed. 1. Why Jarmo and JD still have jobs is baffling. The joke that last offseason was should have been their end. Truly embarrassing. 2. Laine, Werenski, Gaudreau are the biggest waste of money on this team. They continuously disappoint and under achieve and do nothing on the ice. 3. Our young kids need to play. Quit sending Johnson and Jiricek down. They're both ready. Quit messing up their development. 4. Marchenko and Voronkov have been pleasant surprises. Bridge deals for them guys. 5. I love Elvis but ever since Kivi passed away, he hasn't been the same. We really need a goalie of the future because we simply don't have one. 6. Provorov and Severson can go to. Absolute waste of a first round pick. Theres a reason why NJ gave up Severson for peanuts. 7. Blankenburg needs to play like yesterday. Another waste of talent in the AHL. Things will never change as long as JK and JD are there. I guess we can only hope after 24 years of mediocrity.

  8. This is least appealing franchise of any American NHL team. While it would be a priviledge to be drafted to any NHL team, I suspect players think ''please don't let Columbus draft me".

  9. The Blue Jackets have had moments of brilliance (the sweep of the juggernaut Lightning team in 2019) but otherwise there's not much to celebrate, what with just six playoff appearances since 2000-01. They do indeed desperately need an identity to break themselves out of this endless stagnation, whether they're below the playoff line or being swiftly eliminated in the first round.

  10. Love him or hate him, but I feel like Tortorella gave this middling franchise a sense of direction and when he left, it went with him. I feel like there’s pieces there to build on, they just need to right coach to get the most out of them.

  11. Alright, so the Blues should be spanked with a big pizza peel.. everyone.. I mean wtf was that?
5-0 was bad ass .. props Bro

  12. Pretty much everything you say is correct. Columbus does lack an identity and a concrete plan. It HAD an identity under Torts, just a really gritty team which may have less talent than others but works hard for results and doesn’t give you many looks. But that’s just the Torts brand of hockey, take average/below average teams and win games at all costs through sheer grit. Ever since then it’s a coaching carousel.

Jarmo and JD have changed their tune so much since the last playoff appearance, it’s unreal. At first it was a rebuild. Then they have close to .500 season in 21/22, then they sign Gaudreau and Gudbranson on huge deals, and all of a sudden Jarmo is saying we’re going for the playoffs. Then a horror season ensues, injuries and whatnot, draft Fantilli who slots in 1st line, and Jarmo says at the start of the year the goal is playoffs. Little under halfway through “we have to keep pushing” and apparently looking for a 1C, and now he recently said “It’s a rebuild”. To me, if the front office doesn’t know what their plan is going forward (which they clearly don’t), they should go. Time for a fresh set of eyes and a new vision to look at everything top to bottom from coaching, scouting, players, and make informed decisions on what the next steps are. If that means that big names like Jenner, Laine, etc need to be traded, then they’ll be traded. I’ve lost all my trust in Jarmo and co. and just hope that a new person can come in and really fix this team and give the fans and city a winning culture and hockey team.

  13. This team is just depressing to watch, they had 20 years and the only success they achieved was a single play off win, surprised they didn't relocate like Thrashers

  14. This is definitely a case of what have you done for me lately. That shocking sweep of Tampa? EL LONG-O GONE-O in the mirror-o. If I had a trillion bucks to spend on a franchise and was up for a challenge, wouldn’t even consider Columbus. They’re toast until further notice, and I feel for Fantilli.
