I like the Ducks possibilities, but Zuccarello and Eberle are definitely not what Drury is needing right now. I really think that Vatrano could be an excellent fit, but Anaheim would be nutz to let him go for KK at this point. Not a fair trade. Not sure what the deal with Gorton and Drury is, but business is business. Monahan and Anderson for KK is more than fair. Possibly a 3rd rounder by NY to get it done. Both parties are happy..

I'd love to see that Eberle for Kaako trade. GM RF and fans need to stay focused on bringing in youth and maximizing the value in the lineup. That, and Shane Wright with Kaapo could be a viscious depth line one day.

You make no sense, you say a habs trade for monahan makes no sense then go on to say a trade to the ducks for Henrique is more likely, wtf…. Monahan is better than henrique and plays right wing.

As a ranger fan I love zuccarello… but he’s 36. I get kakkos value isn’t worth that much but a 1st round plus kakko for zuccarello is just a terrible deal for the rangers come on now u can’t be serious with that
No offence, but these trades are weak for kaapo. I'd trade him in a package for buchnevich, or lindholm but not those players that you mentioned. They are defiantly not worth getting. I really love Mats but to trade him for kaapo would hurt. Rangers need to learn from the mistake that they made when trading buchnevich st louis and look at him now.
I would love Kakko in Canes, Flyers, Panthers, Ducks or Avalanche.

What if Our Stars trade for Mats Z?
The problem with these trades is that you're essentially giving away a twenty-something middle 6 player who, while not the star he was projected to be, still could become a decent 2nd liner, for a parade of guys in their mid 30s – while ALSO giving up high picks! With all due respect, that's nuts. I'd rather then keep Kaako, accept that he'll only be a good middle 6 guy, and deal with his shortcomings instead of trading a ton of assets for guys who will likely be done in a couple of years.

Pretty straightforward trade. Quinn was criticized for mishandling Kakko, but given the makeup of the Sharks roster, this would be an opportunity to give him a lot more ice time. Couture is back and would be a brilliant mentor, given he has one of the best 200-ft games in the league, and Kakko would slot in well with the young core of players.
New York would get solid depth pieces with Barabonov and Kunin, both have solid scoring potential, could be signed past this season for relatively cheap deals, and Barabonov is the perfect kind of top 9 winger. He can play with skill players to deal with injuries, or he can be a serious threat in a 3rd line role. This has also been his worst season with the Sharks, but he has outproduced Kakko in the past on a worse team. Kunin can alleviate some of those center depth woes with Chytil out and then help form a deadly 4th line with Goodrow. Kunin is also an RFA after this year, so the rangers will be able to retain his services after this year, and I can imagine getting an opportunity to play with Panarin would encourage Barabonov to resign with NYR.

i’d love to have kappo kakko on the flyers. would be a great reclamation project for us and especially to play under torts. i have a feeling it could go really well. he’d be a nice add to us. that being said,
