Haven't even watched the vid yet. Im a huge Devils fan. Were shit probably not making the playoffs and there is zero chance we win the cup this year.
Really wanna see the team get healthy before overreacting. Think they’ll still end up in the top 8. Their goaltending has been rough this year, so magically one of the goalies is about to go on a conn smythe run

Having 2/5*** of the players involved in the sexual assault case is concerning, to say the least. If Mcleod is found guilty that will be a big blow to our team.

As a devils fan I want schmid to develop, I want VV to do well and I want the team to stay healthy. However I acknowledge as a fan, I can make none of those things happen.
I’m a huge devils fan! I’ll bleed jersey red until I die. But my thought was look at Lindy’s time in NJ. Mid to bottom until Andrew Brunette came in along side him. They had the greatest season in the last 20 years. Brunette in Florida had the best record in 21/22. I believe brunette took over and plowed this team into 5th gear and gave us a great season. Now the devils have Travis green which he has a negative coaching record. And the devils have been playing poorly. Yes injuries to key players so far has hurt the team. But every team has them. That’s my take on the past few years as a devils fan.

Having Siegenthaler and Smith out too is hurting the Blue line. I don't think some fans realize how much of a difference those guys have made even with all Smiths bad penalties he was good in a lot of areas. Changing coaches and goalies isn't going to fix the Defense. The guys are young they need more experience. Chico did a great job explaining all this on a podcast today.
Also with the way the Devils play Defense getting a new guy will take time to adjust to the system, which i don't know if it's worth it. It took Colin Miller a really long time to adjust and if another new guy takes that long Dougie or Siegs could be back by then. I think we just fight through it and play every game like it's life or death like Jack said. Plus Nosek and Jack might be back after the break and that could give the team a boost.

If you do future editions of these videos, I'd like to see the teams' win-percentages (and ranks) included alongside their points-percentage. Understanding that win-% will basically always be lower, I think it'd be interesting to compare the discrepancies (maybe those discrepancies could themselves be ranked?), and it would allow more comparisons to the overall rankings.
I don't know how much work that'd be to collate with the data from Max & Yvonne, but it's something I always wonder about when points-% is brought up.

Time for Lindy to go. As a Devils fan I say we should wait and not spend draft picks to go for it now. We can wait another year for a goalie. We are cooked this season as far as I’m concerned.
The team has had injuries to key players all year. At the start of the year, the plan was for Nemec to get another year in the AHL and for Luke to get sheltered minutes on the 3rd pairing. Now because of injuries both are playing top minutes sometimes even paired together. Throw in Bahl who is still super young and Hatakka who has barely played in the NHL and that's 4/6 that are basically rookies or not far removed from being a rookie. Not to mention, the goalies are awful. Overall I see this as a development year for a lot of players. Even if we manage to make the playoffs, I don't see us contending but it would be valuable experience for a lot of those guys.
Im probably the biggest Devils fan in the USA. I live and breathe New Jersey Devils. Tons of injuries this year but next year we will be back
I would be shocked if getting rid of Lindy doesnt help. Yes there are injuries but the lineup we have should be able to put out a decent effort. Ruff stopped the 4 man rush attack when the defense came out of the gate bad and the team has been a festering puddle of excrement ever since. We need to go back on the attack because defense and goaltending just are not our thing.
When NJ recently played Las Vegas….they played 5 defenceman with a total combined NHL games played of just about 100.
That is all you need to know.

" You cant get a guy 5 years of experience in just a few games".
Not a Lindy fan. Should give Greene 8-10 games to see what he can do after the break. Go for Rico & Lyubushkin. If not, see about getting Flower to mentor Daws. May not make the playoffs but worth bringing in a couple of depth pieces that we could retain thru next seasons run.
This year might be a wash, but there is so much talent I’m not worried. Everyone healthy and our rookie d guys have a year under their belts, next year is gonna be our year. We absolutely need a goalie though
