Hunter got snubbed from team USA. They know something Allvin does. Kuzzi is a great guy but bad fit. Hope he scores a tonne for you Flames fans.
Paid tooo much Hunter AND a 1st????? Are they desperate to get the cup this year cause they know they'll lose EP40???
Wow, a little surprised it took a first, and Kuzmenk-show plus, plus, plus to land Lindholm. They must be confident they can re-sign. But did they need a center that badly?
Omg, what will be the price for Sean Monahan!? muahahahahah
Alvin is rapidly rurning us into team Sweden Linholm may sign a good deal 😅
This trade in fact does not make the Canucks scarier, if anything, it makes them loose a good chunk of their future success seeing how they gave up a good prospect + picks for a rental. Wouldn't be surprised if Canucks slump back to their last year mediocrity next season
Canucks Elias/60 stat is going through the roof.
BIG for Calgary
I am so sad to see Kuzy to go, but he just wasn't working with Tocchet, and Hunter is DESTROYING the OHL, he's 3rd right now in scoring and 1st for Dmen. But it's a great trade for both teams. We got our 2nd line C and get some well needed cap space
First round done
As an Oilers fan, I hate all of this. If both teams end up benefiting, we suffer.
This could easily wind up looking like canucks traded a better player for a worse player and then added a bunch of picks on top of it.
Kuzmenko was the best player for parts of last year in van, just remember how boeser played last year compared to this year, players can go cold and come back, nobody has a 40 goal year in the NHL on just lucky bounces, you have to be good to get there.
Id say flames won that one
Can the Canucks get past the Cup finals Game 7 is the question if they make finals though
I will really miss Kuzy AND I'll be sad if Brzustewicz ends up having an incredibly successful career in the NHL, but I absolutely respect the trade all the same. I think Lindholm brings something the Canucks need right now, and I think he's someone that will flourish under Tocchet's leadership. Wish we could still get Tanev, but who knows what the asking price for that would be. Regardless, I think this gives the Canucks a big boost, and I think doing it now is much better than waiting until the trade deadline. Hope this pans out for them. I do think this could be a win-win kind of trade, but only time will tell.
Just to lose against the Avs in 5

Eck, I remember seeing you on /r/hockey a couple of days ago laughing at the idea that Sean Monahan is worth a first round pick at the TDL – do you still maintain that position? If Lindholm, who's not statistically all that much better than Monahan (but certainly more durable) can fetch a 1st, 4th, roster player and 2 prospects, seems to me like the Habs could reasonably get a 1st + prospect for Monahan, especially since there's now basically just him and Henrique available for adding center depth.
I know you don't want Monahan on the Rangers and that's fine, but realistically I think it's very likely he'll return at least a 1st round pick, probably more.
Peaple thinking van is better such clowns dont know hockey
Lindholm can get to know his new teammates at the All_Star game, they're all going to be there.
I dont like the fact that the Canucks are going all in already after a single good year … they are basically the reverse Canes..
Canes have been making for playoff for 5 years now and they never fully commit to take the <cup> gamble trade. Meanwhile Canucks just have a single great season and they just risked it big time… Can u imagine if the Kuzz ends up waking up and puting the Flames in wildcard and they face the Canucks and they end up winning ? Look, I am not saying that this Canucks team aint it..
I just think its suprising that the GM is going all in already.. they could've easily waited at least one season to see if it was simply a 'lucky' season (I mean we just passed half season mark) … and do the big trade next year.
Nucks might end up facing a red hot Preds team with a whole lot more of playoff experience and a Vezina contender goalie ..
If the Nucks ends up doing poorly in the offseason, u can be sure that Petey is going to want out cause they wont have the cap hit to give him the salary he wants + Lindholm is most likely going to want out too for the same reason.. they have to sign for like 35m in contract at the end of the season…
I really hope the Nucks wins it for Canada man.. but I can already smell the Nucks exploding in first round.. and next year going back to .500 hockey..
Wait a second WTF you're a hockey fan? All these years I've watched your Star Wars vids. I had no idea you watched hockey!!!! THIS IS OUR YEAR BOIIIIS
This was the sort of package I was hoping the Flames would get for Lindholm. Just one pick in the top 30 is tough, but he is an expiring contract.
Now the cannucks jave six players in the all stars😂😂
I really hope this trade doesn’t set the “tone” for the trade deadline. Like I hope teams don’t ask for a shit ton of prospects and picks for a rental.
As a flames fan, i'm happy about this trade. Not just with the return, but with the direction our team is headed in. For months it was constant will they, won't they trade him. I have been more on the retooll boat ever since last years disaster, of a season so im glad the management is finally comitting to something.
Oh no
I love how Habs fans online are demanding the moon for Monahan when they're only going to get a 1st for him
