  1. Leaf fans need to be prepared that nobody of value will be acquired at or before the trade deadline. The Leaf brass has said that they are not willing to part ways with their top prospects (Cowan & Minten) and or future draft picks. So at the end of the day if a trade is made it will be come from their AHL players and or their 3rd and 4th line NHL players since their top 4 paid players all have no movement clauses (Matthews, Nylander, Marner & Tavares). So….. unless they decide to part ways with their top prospects or future draft picks no major moves will get done!

  2. A first round pick for a 34 yr old d-man is plan foolishness. Peeke can't even stay in Columbus lineup, how does that help the leafs d-core. This team is going nowhere in the playoffs, they need to ride out this season with what they have and make major adjustments in the off-season.

  3. Let's face it Leafs cupboard is bare. They have nothing to offer for anyone with value. Here we go again. The start of another 50 year drought ????

  4. I read a trade rumor today that leafs aquire ex leaf C/RW Sam Carrick from the Ducks for conditional 5th round pick in 2024 and if Sam Carrick resign with leafs at end of season the pick become leafs 4th round pick in 2024. If true or not we will see? Sam Carrick is good veteran 3th or 4th line center and can play the Right wing he as 7 goals, 3 assets, 10 points, 270 face off win, 51.8Fo%, 23 blocked shots,78 hits, 13 takeaways, 12 giveaways and paid 850k aav a solid depth center and is not feared to drop the gloves to stand up for team mate and as good work ethic and play with heart.

  5. They already missed out on Sean Monahan. Once again Treliving will wait to long and all of the good players will go elsewhere. It's time to fire these lunatics and lock them in an asylum

  6. I would trade picks at this point simply due to the fact that Matthews will be in Leafland for 5 years. That is the window. If Tanev agrees to sign for at least 3 years. Healthy for those 3 years… that's another story.

  7. I am not convinced, if any trades made this year by the Leafs, will make them Stanley Cup contenders? Boston, Colorado. Edmonton, the Florida GOONS, Las Vegas, Vancouver, and Winnipeg, are very strong elite teams! The Leafs brass should maybe wait until the summer, to start making changes to the roster.2 gritty and heavy d – men are a definite necessity and another tough 3rd line forward, should be the teams top consideration. I would get rid of Bert, Domi, Brodie, Timmins, and Gio. GO LEAFS GO!!!!

  8. 0 chance for cup. Couple western teams are so good. Jenner, peeke for Brodie and minten and couple 3rd rds. Then 2 firsts for chychrun or 1 first for hanifin.
