Canadians fan here. Winnipeg fans/coaches/players are gonna be very happy with Monahan. Power play, penalty kill and a great teammate who won't disrupt any chemistry. Plus he's use to the conference and likes playing in Canada…

Not happy with his +/- and overall defensive metrics. But then again he was playing on a run'n'gun type of team. With us he might be better.

I'm a habs fan . It's better than Lindholm all around and better than Stastny. He was like the Monahan at his peak this year. Monahan played with garbage players and young players. Between Monahan and Suzuki for one game, I pick Monahan by a mile. 35 pts in 49 games is huge in this condition. Forget the -10, the habs top 6 are -16 to -21. Habs are close to 500, they will drop to 350 without monahan. The players around him will be better. Elhers and Prefetti production will explode. The only negative point is the injuries. Jets are closer to the cup now….I'm sure the west conference are on the panic mode.

Vancouver was a solid team before acquiring Lindholm…..they also have a great goaltender…..they could go deep in the playoffs under a coach like Tocchet!
Sounds like a very good bread and Butter player who has poke checked the most pucks in the entire Nhl and will really help out Perfetti and Ehlers game who can capitilize on the pinball dramatics of the Puck?

You have to think closer to deadline prices go up injuries/trades passed on then your left having a 3rd/4th option target.
The worst overpay i can remember is Jeannot to Tampa Foote+1st+2nd+3rd+4th+5th
