If they want to have a good all-star event, they'd need to make it about players and players having fun. I don't think celebrities add really anything and it kinda says that the NHL players don't have the star power needed. I'd rather have fun skills competition and have different players come up with competitions and just auto include hardest shot and fastest skater. Have fans vote for teams or have fans vote for how teams are formed. Like team that is only captains of their own teams, team of biggest boys in all-start and so on. It should be about players having fun on a break from the season. When it's very formal and official, it's boring.

It has been a long time sense I have watched the All Star Game.Personally I think it was better back when the best of the east played the best of the west in 5vs5 hockey.
Skip the 3 on 3 format … Dont fix what isnt broke ….jerseys sucked couldnt see the names ..again dont fix what aint broke ….just go back to east vs west with all the top players and fans pick the starters …done

So we're all hockey fans right?? And have spent countless years watching hockey games that are 60 minutes of playing time… so why the heck are we not doing a FULL GAME of west vs. East where the teams actually try?? The mini games are so annoying and don't do much for the newer fans… if someone is a new fan, shouldn't they be exposed to how an actual game is?? And not 6 mini games or whatever it is?
